I'll be swapping out my rear bumper this weekend and I want to know if I should remove the BSM radar sensors completely or leave them connected and tie them up?

What behavior might I encounter inside the cab? Warning lights and/or messages?

Any feedback from those that have done this is appreciated.

EDIT: Update - Removed the radar sensors and sealed up the plugs with electrical tape. With the BSM switched off there are no warnings/beeps/flashing lights.

So i’ve not mucked with it, but if you have them “off” before key-on, it may not generate any warning messages at all

EDIT: pretty sure when mine was malfunctioning, it didn’t bombard the cluster display unless it was on. Been awhile though, may be wrong

This is what I am hoping for. My OCD cannot handle warning lights and messages flashing.

I’d leave them connected though, less likely to encounter error codes that way — and you’ll avoid harness corrosion
