yeah I feel good about it. Looking all over the market, couldn’t find what I wanted. My friend who works at the dealership intercepted one so I lucked out on timing.

I was going to get that MGM In the for sale thread in OH but he decided to sell to Carvana versus a fellow Tacoma lover. -____-

cant blame him tho, cause on the convenience. I am selling my 2nd GEN to them and they’re giving me $24,500. Crazy times.

Dealer told me "Toyota, this morning (7/31), canceled all new orders on 2020 Tacomas that weren't in the system yet" and that mine was "not approved" yet, so it got canceled. I have no idea if he was just spittin shit, but thats what i was told.

10 percent off is pretty good in todays market. How much more would one be with the SX pkg?

Betrays are you in denver. Are you willing to look around outside your area. Are you wanting a 4x4 sr5. I'm sure your dealer can find it for you elsewhere but you can find it on your own if you really want to do some work

Your Config is exactly what i want in Cement or White. Here in So Cal they are at MSRP + 2K...3K over ..crazy. Not paying that. Hopefully 1.9% is still here next month.
Is there more coming soon at that dealer ? I'd fly out there for that deal.

@Naszero - Any info on next month incentives ?

Not 100% sure. I would say no because those options are pretty specific. But he did just call me and said he got a fresh trade today to see if I want to come test drive it.

There is a Tacoma plant here in San Antonio and an employee just traded in a 2017 TRD OR DCLB FULLY LOADED. The color is RED tho. When he bought it he got every option available so whatever it is for that year.

He said they might list it for $35,200 - $35,900. Has 45k miles

Not sure about the SX package as all i really been looking for is utility with 4x4. Not in any hurry and its not like i couldn't order one in 2021. Just not sure if this is a deal i should jump on or just wait for 2021.

Hard to know for sure what prices are going to do. My opinion as an Oregon SR buyer is that is a pretty good deal. You know your situation, if you need a truck now then that factors in. By waiting you aren't paying the insurance so that is money you save. If you don't need a truck now then the gamble might pay off plus you get a year newer truck with a 2021

Yeah I’m looking for a SR5 dub cab 4x4 “in Quicksand” which is the limiting factor, i can get black or silver near me but i wanted Quicksand specifically which is why i was going to have it ordered :( they supposedly looked within 500 miles and didnt find it.

So if I am doing the math correctly (of course, I have been known to fail on that front), you are at 10.6% off MSRP before taxes, title, etc. I think given everything we have seen that is very respectable. I was at 13.5% off right before the pandemic hit and got lucky (finally, some luck for me). All that is to say that is a good deal and if you want the truck you did well considering everything going on -- low inventory, slow production, dealers marking things up. I would be curious what everyone else here thinks but if I really wanted that truck I would take the deal and be happy with it ... for sure !

Best of luck to you !

Got my factory order delivered today!
2020 TRD OR Access cab in quicksand.

I’m in Canada so the trims are lil different with comparing to US but it’s pretty much an OR premium.
    No trade ins.
    MSRP: $44590
Discounted price (after a couple of weeks of back and forth): $39895
They mixed the dealer fee with an item called “Toyota shield” which was an extra $799... (shield includes tire and rim + pain and rust protection for 4 years)
I tried... but they wouldn’t budge anymore or take it off.

There was no cash rebate here in Canada but I got 0.49% for 6 years.
I wanted the access cab in quicksand and haven’t seen it anywhere else so I’m pretty happy with the order.

Before TTL is $40 694 CAD; which is aprox $31 300 USD

sorry about the double post but this seems to be true.
The finance manager I was dealing with today told me that another buyer wanted a specific truck and therefore he had to do factory order but Toyota isn’t accepting anymore orders so he’ll have to wait for 2021s.

Well that's reassuring, I was a little worried that the dealer was just being lazy or their boss was pulling the strings for some reason. At least I have more confirmation that the factory is truly rejecting new orders.

Yea don't need the truck now, Its tempting, price is ok but not great and with it being so close to 2021 and hopefully inventory will start ramping back up, its a gamble like you said. Im leaning towards holding off because about every year toyota adds something standard new to the SR line and it will be a year newer truck and i think inventory is going to start stocking back up so may have a little more negotiating power.

I do agree that the price is ok with everything going on now. Its is tempting. I too wondering what others think. Wait for 2021 or go for it.

    Go for it.
If you were to do really well and get up to 12.6% off then that would get you about another $500 off. You’re likely going to have to put in a considerable amount of time haggling back-and-forth with dealers and going through the whole process again. getting 12.6% off is difficult no matter what time we are. talking about. As you said, the MSRP will probably go up so that will likely negate the $500 that you’re saving. Interest rates are good right now. Likely won’t get better. you can get a 2.49 rate and still get the 1000 rebate. Rebates might go away totally. I’m surprised they even have 1000 right now. Maybe like everyone believes including myself at that time they will be willing to negotiate more but maybe not. We all drastically miss judged the current situation happening. Plus you get your truck right now and don’t have to wait. I’ll be willing to bet you $50 that if you get the general manager on the phone and said I can put down a deposit right now on the phone if you can get it down $250 then he will say yes. Without knowing your situation you could make up some kind of excuse and say that your bank needs you to put down 10% and the only way you can get to that number is if it’s $250 less or say your wife is really mad that you’re buying a truck to begin with and this is the number that she said. Not that that matters because they’re not going to pass up a sale for $250 and it’s not like there anywhere near hold back money. It’s just profit.
That being said, if you really like getting a good deal and it’s worth it to you to try and save $500 then that makes sense too.
