When you get a good hook up vs the Continental Extreme contacts I had before sure.

On the stang before it, I ran Nitto 555s which I'd actually run for autocross+daily

I am not looking forward to wheeling in 105° heat tomorrow.

AC works better than it did last summer since I recharged it but still not great when it's super hot out

Goodyear Eagle F1s wear down too damn quick and barely hook on any of the Vettes I had them on.

F1, as in formula one race car, not some boomer tire on a retirement chariot!

Yeah it closed off the area we were planning on but the backup plan is nearby and still open

Speaking of tires, starting to look around since I'm due soon... Anyone have experience or hearsay on the MasterCraft Courser CXTs?

At $216/tire for 255s they are considerably cheaper than STmaxx and most other options without going as cheap as Geolanders which don't have great reviews

In all likelihood I'll probably end up getting STMaxx again since it's just another $100 for a set and I know I like em

    Yeah, I hated them.

Would actually make some money back every time I got rid of the tire and the wheel it was on.

They're just stock on Vettes, not to mention our Dodge Challengers, Chargers, and other variety. Don't know why a car manufacturer would still put them on their cars.

I apologize in advance if I make any typos, I'm currently towing my trailer back to its home storage and using voice to text.

Stock rubber / poly joints give the best road manners. You'll have less shock from uneven surfaces traveling through your suspension with these type of joints. Johnny joints are fucking awesome, but you have to grease them bitches all the time. Where you're at in California, like slander said, the heims will be comparable to the Johnny joints. They don't require as much maintenance because they're non-greasable, but you have to check bolt tightness often. If you go the heims route, be prepared for a lot of squeaking, because that's what they fucking do. Both of the latter joints Will handle any abuse you can throw at them, and as long as maintenance is kept up, by either greasing the Johnny joints, or cleaning the heims, they will last quite a while.

I went with heims because I had a buddy, but I would have ended up with Johnny joints had I not gotten a hook up.

Even KM3s are cheaper than STmaxx, crazy how the Coopers have gone up so much lately. Don't want to go with BFG though since my last two sets of those chunked up something fierce.

Check out the pro comp xtreme mt2s. I have them in 37 and they are nice, work well offroad and work good on the street. Dont know if they make them in the size you need though. Tread pattern looks similar to those master crafts.

Yeah unfortunately with the skinny 255s options are more limited than 285s. Would prefer to stick with the skinnies because I know they (barely) clear rubbing my frame at full lock and a wider tire will have more issues there. Don't want to run wheel spacers really.

Plus the 255s are a bit lighter and taller. Just aren't as many options

Good lord, you even bought the worlds crummiest tape measure just cause it says Milwaukee on it haha.

We have a few of them at my job. The tape will break over at a lot shorter length then others. And the damn hook never stays hooked on anything.

My Ex BIL brought over a milwaukee tape measure and out of left field my wife started talking shit to him about it LOL!! Nothing is more emasculating than a 120lb blonde woman making fun of you for your tape measure brand!!

They make good power tools. But they should leave the hand tool market to companies that know what their doing.

My favorite tape is this by far.
