I purchased this truck at the end of January and I am selling it for one reason only; the automatic transmission. I chose the automatic because I wanted the long bed for a future camper, but as a manual guy all my life, I'm just able to get use to it. This was my first automatic vehicle purchase in nearly 20 years and I'm sad to say it was a mistake. I need to get back into a manual!

This truck is in excellent condition inside and out. Only 1 person has ever sat in the front seat and no one has ever sat in the back seat, and the cargo bed looks brand new. The truck has never been off-roading, has never towed, and is absolutely pristine. All I have done with this truck is drive it back and forth to work. Double cab long bed Tacomas are extremely limited in availability right now due to the covid-19 shutdown, so here's your chance to get one that is practically new and loaded with options at a very nice discount.

Tire rotations were done at 5,000 and 10,000 miles and the 1st oil change was done at 5,000 miles. I have the supplies for the 2nd oil change (Mobil1 Extended Performance 0w20 and Mobil1 M1C-251 Extended Performance oil filter) and they will go to the new owner. YNG is about 25 min (very limited flights)
CAK is about 50 min (somewhat limited flights)
CLE is about 60 min (full service)

Would definitely try your luck at Vroom, Carvana, Carmax. Tacomas like everything else are bringing the moon right now in the market.

 

Thanks for the suggestion, but those places are as bad as the average dealership when it comes to low-balling your vehicle's value. Selling privately is always the best way to go in order to get a reasonable and fair price.

 

In a normal world. Yes. However anything but right now. Day supply of new Tacoma’s is way down. Retailers are desperate for cars and fight for them in the lanes.

It’s worth the 5 mins online to check out.

 

So just out of curiosity, I ran my truck thru carvana's appraisal and holy sh*t, color me surprised. I was not expecting it to be anywhere near what they offered. Up is down and down is up, thanks to covid-19.
I still won't believe it until it's done, that's just the born skeptic in me. Anyway, thanks for pushing the issue!

 

No problem at all. If anyone has a truck that's close to stock, or can be brought back to stock pretty quickly it's worth a look into.
I would put it through other platforms as well, and just see who gives you the most. I have sold multiple cars to Vroom. Couldn't be any easier.

 

I did both Carvana and Vroom. Carvana wast instant, but Vroom says they'll take a day or so to process so I won't get their offer until tomorrow.

 

Man, I love your truck. Besides changing the color to Cement, your build is perfect IMO (MGM is my second fav). I'm in Raleigh, NC and would get a flight up and buy this if it wasn't for COVID (I look after my elderly parents and can't risk passing it on to them). Still, before you accept a hit on the sale to Carvana or Vroom PM me so I can either cry or try and figure something out to get up there!

$36,700 from Carvana.

I am surprised they offered that much, when most prospective buyers didn't offer me more than $35k, which is obviously an insult for this truck. It's a shame because someone could have had this truck for what Carvana paid, even a little less, but now Carvana will probably sell it for well over $38k.

 

Eventually, but at this point I will likely wait until after the redesign coming fall of 2021. The new Frontier also comes out next year, so I'd like to check that one out as well. One thing is for sure, it will definitely have a manual.

 

Prospective buyers didn’t offer over 35k? you offered me 36k and I said yes. After I bought my plane ticket you said you couldn’t pass up the offer from caravana. Which I offered to match it. I tried to buy it, you said no. A bit misleading don’t ya think. I bought a plane ticket an all.
