Nah, they wouldn't have done the frame replacement program. I think they just aren't used to salt.

Not sure what's up with the newer ones though..

It really makes no sense, but they must've not lost money on the replacements or the problem would've been fixed.

I almost want to suggest they look at American automakers for an example...buuut....they aren't much better.

But they're supposed to look to them as to what not to do.

Yeah I used a 20 ton press to press it out and back in. Have to press the hub out first to gain access to bearing. You need a press, press plates, 2 4x6's, and a bearing press/sleeve kit

rod to know. The one on the right in the center column has loosened up quite a bit. I shoved a pice of rubber on the side to position it for now but it needs replacing

Haha, mine had Velcro type felt holding the drives side and centers in place.
I’m thinking it’s time to just buy new ones, I have no truck payment, so just do it, hehe

While I waited for paint to cure I went ahead and did the Tundra Brake upgrade. Used OEM Rotors, Pads, and shims and then bought remanufactured Calipers. I also used @turbodb brake line kit. It worked pretty well overall but the clips that came with the kit were too thick so I had to file them down quite a bit to get them to work.

So what kind of paint did you go with? There's so many options out there.

The 2nd Gen: Leveling kit, roll up tonneau cover. 265/75/16’s
I don’t even know if that’s true... the seat sits higher in my second gen, the rear view mirror is in the way, the 6 speed is clumsy compared to the 5 speed and it just doesn’t feel as natural to drive as the first gen. Granted, I’ve put 110,000 miles on my 1st gen and have only put 5,000 on my second.
