I'm in market for front, rear and sliders. Just saying

 

I could build you a rear bumper like mine if you want one

 

Bad part is rear bumper will be last...unless an "oops" happens first. Gotta get sliders asap

Well boys made some progress! Was a bitch to do by myself but it’s out. Had a little help from Anna, basically handed me tools all day. Hardest part has getting the top bell housing bolts out and the send and return line bolts were ******* Terrible.

Taking crossmember to uncles machine shop tomorrow to get it modified.

 

Damn, and it has begun! This has got to be one of the most in-depth mods you can do!

Stocks and 37s for $200? Anyone need extra wheels?

 

I ran those old school Cooper STTs on my 2nd gen. $200? That sounds damn cheap!

 

Figured someone could use a spare set for cheap...but 37s, not me.

 

Need about 4 feet of extension to get the top 2 bolts out, go over the top and ratchet is at the back of the transmission

 

I realized that when I got to them. I connected 2 feet of extensions and lowered the trans so I could reach up in there with the impact. It worked well but I’m gonna go get a longer extension for sure

 

It also sucks trying to get those torque converter bolts out having to turn the crank shaft and fit my ratchet into the tiny slot in the bell housing I don’t know how I’m gonna be able to get the torque wrench in there

 

And these at t help a ton, they don't flop around like the ujoint type.

A ratcheting combination wrench helps with those, and a crows foot helps with torquing.

Spent a little time riding the roads through the woods behind the house today where the new neighborhood will be. Fun several miles and I didn’t even have to leave my hood.
