The plan

Alright gent and ladies,

Here is the rough plan with the locations and times.


Day 1, Friday:

Arrive to Ardberg and setup camp site, location is the following:

if the location is taken by another group of people - make them leave , please don't. Go to the next one located here:

45°36'34.1"N 80°08'48.0"W


Day 2, Saturday:

Have a nice breakfast, sober up and head out to play in the rocks till 2PMish. Have lunch/snacks after and head out to VMUTS no later than 4PM.
Arrive to VMUTS camp spot around 7PM and setup camp, have a beer

Camping spot is the following: 46.36792, -78.84922

Day 3, Sunday:
I am thinking about visiting abandoned mine located here 46.31703,-78.90571
Then go up to the famous lookout everyone talks here about and generally explore trails and see tings around.

Camp based on where we end up at the end of the day.


Day 4, Monday:
Have breakfast, fill gas and head out to Minden Hydro Line located here: 44.93357,-78.80180

Arrive there around 11AM , have lunch and air down. Do parts of the trail and leave no later than 4PM, visit local ice cream dairy have some kind dinner with take out food, maybe @Joe23 going to show up for that mall crawl meet
Head out back to GTA or wherever you are living around 7PM.

I am open to your ideas/concerns/or general "hey, fuck you"

Got stuck working a bit later than I hoped. Leaving Oakville now, cya in a few hours. Me and buddy got about half way to dogfish lake before we turned around last weekend cause of the time. You guys use channel 4 on the 2 ways ya?

 

Yep channel 4.

We are at the camp site by Dogfish Lake, about 40 minutes from the beach on the South Trail.

 

We probably have another half hour before we leave Hamilton. Gonna be pulling in pretty late.

What are the coordinates for the site?


45°36'34.1"N 80°08'48.0"W I'm assuming these coordinates are right. Also what road does the trail start from?

Heads up to anyone still on the way there was no ice at the shell or Canadian tire gas stations in Parry sound. If you need it you may wanna find some before then. Just leaving there now

thanks everyone for all the help getting me off the trail! Really appreciate all the help and input in somewhat of a shitty situation. @Atlas86 thanks for driving with me home!


few fun facts:
-CAA doesn’t cover modified vehicles. Even though I had a membership and was under the mileage no bueno.

-the rough cost to get towed from perry sound to Cambridge is close to $1200

-a broken diff can go more than 300kms on the highway with no fluid.

made it home under my own power!
