I traded my 08 ranger 4 cylinder 2x4 in on my 19 4x4 cylinder Tacoma. What’d you trade in?

Traded in a 2018 ZR2 Diesel Colorado for my 2019 Cement grey TRD off road. Best decision I ever made!

2015 GMC Canyon SLE, the truck provided two of the best days of my life, and day I bought it, and the day I sold it. When it worked it was a quiet and comfortable vehicle and got pretty good fuel mileage, however, it had so many problems my wife called it a death trap and refused to drive it. Felt very fortunate to have gotten a great trade in price, and got my current TRD OR, still feel good about my purchase decision with the Tacoma.

I just Simply hate those Colorado’s man. Nothing personal. I really love 99-06 GM trucks but anything after that I wanna run off a cliff. I didn’t put it in the OP but I also traded a pos 07 Tahoe that was the biggest pos in the planet. It wouldn’t run and I gave the dealer the vin number without them laying eyes on it and they said $2000. I said take it

O let’s see here, maybe the 15 dealer visits in the 30k miles I put on it. DPF failures, exhaust sensors that would go out, couldn’t complete its regen cycles, clogged fuel filters even with changing them out, etc. I just got sick of living at the service department. Traded it in and haven’t seen a service bay since :)

'98 Chevy Z71 Ext Cab short bed 237,770 miles on it. Hated to see it go but main in the engine was going and honestly it wasn't worth the cost to fix it. Still miss it though except when I turned around in the middle of a forest road with my new truck and didn't have to back the 3 miles out.

Few years back when they first came out I was really impressed with tow specs and fuel economy but I knew better than to buy one right outta the gate. So I waited for reviews and YouTube was littered with people complaining about how if u let it idle to long it’ll go in limp mode and all sorts of other nonsense. I’m actually relieved to see people get out of low quality built vehicles into good vehicles. So good for u , glad u got the new taco!

Spouse was tired of sinking money into it and honestly 21 years I owned it was a great run. It has a crack in the cab that caused water to leak between the windshield and headliner. Got a good trade since the dealership owner actually wanted my truck for his hunting vehicle. I am ok with it.

Modern day diesels(in the US) suck!! I don’t understand the hype on this forum about wanting a diesel in the Tacoma. Craziness. Toyota is smart and there is a reason they don’t offer diesels here because they know the US EPA would ruin it. You couldn’t give me one today if it was free lol.
