    Sounds similar to when Hurricane Douglas got close to the Hawaiian islands . It was a strong Cat 4 but by the time it entered the Central Pacific the Trade winds stopped it in it's tracks

    wife called me into the bathroom in a panic, loud buzzing noise. She said she thought it was the ac. I heard the noise and shut down the system. Went outside and everything looked good, new ac so I knew it couldn't/shouldn't be the compressor.

    Went inside and she says she still hears it.

    Yep, really loud. So I walked around the bathroom, stuck my ear against the wall, nope, not from outside. I see a big box filled with stuff from the other bathroom. (Remember we are in the middle of the 4 year renovation) pick up the box and the buzzing changes...sigh. turns out to be a certain, um massaging 'device', that a bottle of liquid leaked onto and turned on.

    Well, I need to tell everyone about it now.
