I got my mirror relocate made last night out of petg not too shabby.

 

He'd probably have better luck from somewhere near him. Most places just give them away since they can't be recycled with the manganese content. Better have a way to move it or about 10 buddies with a chip on their shoulder.

My filament is old. Two or three years and unsealed. I'm pretty sure hydrolysis is part of the issue. Researching the best way to dry out and keep dry. Nylon and PETG are even more prone and will be affected at a quicker rate.

 

So is there like a laser scanner the average guy can buy and duplicate whatever they want like say an intake spacer for a 4.0?

 

$3500 plus and then the printer, etc.

 

Probably a slow, low heat dry like with polycarbonate. If you heat it too high too fast it bubbles, but I'm not sure you'd even need that high of a heat otherwise you'd lose it's shape and you can't shove a puddle of filament through the extruder....

 

I can make ~8"x8"x11", since your closer to the metric system than the rest of us, 220mmx220mmx300mm.
