I did the neutral front and max caster rear as u have but I gave up on alignment shops and just check toe at home. Wheelin moab and rocks here in utah kills tires. So I am of no use as per actual #'s. Its my impression that camber wont kill tires but toe will wear outer or inner of tires if its off.

I just like the stance better when tires are standing upright. More aesthetically pleasing to my eye.

I just max out caster to clear tires and deal with the rest, lol. If you dont have that problem then makes sense

    @PMK

I'm not sure if you got your taco tabs installed but I had got these about a month ago and finally got them installed a few weeks back and have had zero issues. Mine almost exactly matched up with the "inward setting" on both LCAs both front and rear bolts.

I have never really had an issue with alignment like I hear most people do. Keep in mind that i run a +4.5", 4x4 LT kit and have jumped it and hit numerous rough spots while offroad. I got the tabs having heard that they retain alignment very well, so I decided to install them myself and then take it to an alignment shop for the toe adjustment. They said my toe was quite a bit off but corrected that and now I'm on point. My truck tracks pretty damn straight and rarely pulls to the right or left.

My opinion on the taco tabs is that they do work and getting the TC cam tabs (which I dont have) is just an added bonus as far as strength.

Happy with mine, steering feel definitely changed after the install. I still need to order the poly performance cam tab delete kit though

What happens when you start bending the entire tab section where it’s welded to the frame?

And FYI the bolt sizes are 3/4” for the front and 9/16” for the rear

I have this kit installed. I did max caster in the back bolts and neutral up front. I did a driveway alignment as I have zero trust in my local alignment shops.

I had a lot of trouble getting the old alignment cam sleeve out on my passenger side. It was pretty much a rust stick. Penetrating fluid, a punch, and an expendable socket helped me get it out.

I checked out a few diy alignment threads on here to do mine, might be worth looking into. I think I got close enough, my truck drives great and I havent had to touch my alignment since install a few months ago.

I agree 100% with you on this. I saw a tacoma last month with these on and by far they are one of the best mods you can do on a tacoma period.

When it comes to that I would go with the Marlin Crawler gussets as @jeff b mentioned or atleast go with the TC cam tabs. I personally have only had one tab do that on the inside of the LCA, but it wasn't even close to affecting my alignment. I just bent it back and haven't had a problem since.

I've had them for about 6 months. I have the front end apart to install my new clamshell and decided to check the torque all around.

147ftlb is what the digital snap on torque wrench read for the driver rear. I back off the nut to disassemble and here's what I found.

250ftlb might be a little much. I'm going to email poly performance. Only the driver rear is like this :notsure:

I torque these cams to 175ft/lbs with no issues... 250 seems excessive

Well then... guess I'm going outside to check mine. I torqued mine to 150 if I'm remembering right. I dont remember torque spec in the instructions. Hope poly performance helps you out man

Thanks man. I hope they do too. I won't be torqued to 250 next time. 200 sounds good. And I have the Whiteline bushings. They do help with the ride.

Anything over 100 ft lbs is excessive honestly. At this point when you have fixed alignment tabs the bolts aren't moving anywhere and the bolt down is simply clamping the control arm mounting tabs onto the bushings. Nothing is going anywhere so why torque them some godly amount like them?

If you need to use more than excessive pressure to tighten them using a 1/2" 2.5' long breaker bar then you are overdoing it.

That being said, I am SO glad I clicked on this thread. I had no idea these existed and will make a fantastic replacement for my current OE setup for my DK lower control arms. My OE alignment tabs are bent something ugly, still hold though. I wish I could install the Marlin Crawler stuff but my BAMF skid interferes. :(

I'll have to re check. I think the torque spec guide says 100ftlbs, pretty sure I would have followed that, but I've usually had a few while on the job. The instructions say torque to spec but no value is specified

I love these tabs. They work. I can do a string alignment and be done. If your OE tabs are ugly, slap these on an drive your tabs flush to these. Thats what I did. Nothing budged. Drop a tac weld if you need to.

You're saying don't even bother welding in a new set of cam tabs and just flatten them then run it as is?
