I love Yuengling beer. Can’t get it here in California. Every time my wife and I go back to Pennsylvania I consume copious quantities of Yuengling. Good stuff.

Took a neighbor up to Phoenix to catch a flight this AM. At 10:00 there were few passengers to be seen at the Sky Harbor drops. Friday morning wouldn't be a huge travel time in summer months - but the place was pretty empty. Went to see engineers at a previous employer and when I left in the afternoon, it was 114. Tested the Taco's cooling system to get out of town - coolant temp reached 202 with 75 mph constant speed - and air conditioner outlet temp at 45 degrees. Ordinarily, when simply running on the thermostat it typically runs water temp at 184. There was a 4 degree drop in coolant temp on new white concrete versus the blacktop - not as much as I expected. Inlet air temp was 121 - still using the factory hole behind the right front wheel. The 5 to 7 degree difference between outdoor ambient and the inlet air temp is pretty much typical from what I've seen.

This isn't the worst I' ve seen there, my wife's Explorer showed 120 ambient one afternoon on the 101 freeway.

:pccoffee:  'Morning folks! Lots of activity in this thread, considering we're (almost) all a bunch of old fuddy-duddies! ;)
Nutty drivers indeed. We drove an hour to meet with relatives for (outdoor social distanced) dinner. The traffic was much lighter than usual on that route for a Friday night, which I expected due to fewer people commuting to/from office jobs. But the number of yahoos and downright ludicrous drivers was astounding. My driving style is, well, let's just say that I use the left lane pretty frequently. But I was getting blasted past repeatedly on that drive. I mentioned it to one of the people we met and he said the 'unofficial' speed limit on the beltway where they live is up probably 15-20 MPH over pre-COVID times. Zoom-zoom!

    Stay safe out there folks!

Good morning all, nice cool morning here (46 at 0630) walked and fed the boys and Agnes - the new puppy. Our lab is slowly accepting her, Boris (our other golden) wants to place so bad with her - still a little rough with her for her size.

Have a few items to get done in the yard today - rain predicted for all day tomorrow.

Have a great Saturday and always be safe out there

Morning 60 something's. It's supposed to be a beautiful day today with temps around 80 and low humidity. Not typical at all for August in Kansas.

I'm thinking about checking out a '17 DCSB Tacoma at the Ford dealership near here. Who knows, maybe I'll trade in my '05 access cab.

Might fire up the ol' GTO convertible later on and go for a cruise.

Afternoon all. Started mowing at 7 am at the property we have uptown. Nobody around in the commercial district at that hour to hear the mower hum.

Then did handyman stuff for a property mgr. Installed mini blinds & light bulbs for a move in. She called in a panic at 5:30 Friday for repairs. Tenant moves in at 2:00 today.
Sounds like a time management problem. Lol

It's awesome!! We now only define the days of the week in two ways: it's either Weekday or Weekend and the only difference is that we pretty much try to stay from stores or other places where people who only have weekends to get things done go. :D

Good morning all, 44 degrees this morning. The boiler actually started up this morning (radiant floor heat). Need to adjust the thermostats for the next two months to keep the system from running over night.

Have a great day (Sunday) everyone - be safe

I am up in Caseville and saw a beautiful light blue 66 or 67 GTO convertible driving in the opposite side of the road. Not a show car but it really looked good.

Mine's a dark blue '67 and definitely not a show car. It's just a decent looking driver. That's the way I like it, don't have to worry about where the next paint chip's coming from.

My first car, bought late summer of '70 between my junior and senior year of high school, was a '66 PontiacTempest. In the early '80s I got to wishing I had it back. I got to looking at classified ads in the newspaper (remember them?) and found this car. I bought it in Nov. of '84.
