Bed mat question

I'm looking to purchase a bed mat (

$220 PT580-35050-SB Bed Mat for Short Bed Tacoma Models Black, 59 1/2" L X 52 1/2" W X 3/8" H

PT580-35050-SB) for my '17 short bed. It makes no sense, but I can save over $40 by purchasing a mat for a long bed (PT580-35050-LB) and just trimming the forward end to fit.

Can anyone confirm the dimensions of the short bed and long bed are the same from the back side of the wheel humps to the end of the bed?

 

Exact same from the wheel wells to the tail gate. You would just need to trim from the wheel well to the cab.

Agree with this too. Some local dealers will probably price match. Worth a call with your local dealers

 

There's a $45 dollar shipping charge for the long bed, short bed is free. I got one for like $80 shipped off ebay a while back.
