I saw something similar in mine recently. Well over 100 after sitting in the work parking lot all day. It goes down after driving for a bit though. North Alabama. Has been ridiculously hot and humid as of late which is typical.

I was visiting family in Georgia a few weeks ago. Hotter than the devils asshole too. Well over 100. Pure freaking humidity.

We are definitely on a bender with the heat right now. I was showing 118 on the way home on Thursday.

I'm in South GA. Our summers are brutal. The kind of heat that takes your breath away when you step outside. Even if you're fortunate enough to have access to a swimming pool, it's too miserable outside to enjoy it. Throw in the gnats on top of that, and your best bet is to just stay inside and watch the dollar bills fly out of your pocket as your A/C tries to keep up.

When I first get in the truck it's usually 122 then normalizes from the wind hitting it. I work early too and at 4am it's like ~98. Thank God for remote starts!

I figure you would tell the OP that was cute. I've been close to the center of the sun.

Lol sounds like one of my bright ideas.
However, I dug split rail post holes and set the posts yesterday in 95 degree 70% humidity. About as smart...

There has for sure been some "balls stuck to your leg" hot days this year. But overall this summer has been relatively mild. It didn't get super hot til maybe about June.

We did it like 3 years in a row and met so many people in real trouble. Crazy how unprepared people are. I find it much less miserable when I'm doing shit for myself, as opposed to doing it for someone else at work lol.

Yeah there was like a week there in May maybe where it was so damn nice haha. I've been living in the AC so I haven't had a good barometer on how hot it really is haha.

I work outside at a concrete plant all day, so once I'm done actually working even the high temps don't seem so bad. LOL

119 was the highest I hit here in DFW one day. Thought I had a picture saved but I must've deleted it. Honestly anything 99+ feels the same to me so it doesn't even phase me anymore. :bananadead:

My truck sits outside 24/7 in the driveway here in connecticut. Got in the truck around noon the other day and fired it up...it was very hot. We've been having a 90 to 100 heat wave for days. Wasn't too surprised to see the temp reading 116 degrees. I couldn't hold the black steering wheel without burning my hands let alone sit on those black seats. The a/c isn't very good either in those temps.....still have sweat pouring down my face having to drive in this heat. Between the heat and humidity it really sucks here in july, and august.

Growing up in Indiana, the humidity sucked!! Now that I’ve been out west for several years, I’ll take the 100-110 degree days here over the 95 degrees with high humidity.
Funny story. I took my wife to show her where I grew up (Indianapolis) and to visit my parents who still are there. She grew up in Reno, NV and has never experienced humidity before. So we land in Indianapolis in the middle of July, get our bags and head to the airport exit. The doors open to the outside world and she froze right in her tracks and said “what is this place and why is it so sticky” Haha haha  I simply laughed and said welcome to the Midwest in July.

Never experienced "dry heat" in my life. Have to imagine I wouldn't want to trade it for anything.
