Agreed, my league (second job) is already postponing start of season. My fear is it won't happen at all since it can't start any later than first week in October

I feel like I’m the only person who works in public health thats like WTF are we freaking out THIS much for?

At some point shit needs to go back to some normality.

I’m cool if we don’t until Dec 31, 2020 but past that I think its time.

Wear a mask, wash your hands, and KEEP CALM.

    :)

I agree. Reason has been thrown out the window and no one (calling shots) seems to care. And most ppl are scared and not thinking.

My wife being navy and pregnant means she was put on light duty and taken off her ship. This also means she’s non essential. We are in month ,what... 5?, of at home with pay  she’s loving the shutdown

To be fair, my league is not essential. We depend on bars and private clubs to be open for our matches, and twice a year hotels where we hold events of 400-500 people as well. In both examples people are in close proximity plus using the same tablet to keep score, so not things easily done and being cautious.

It's mainly that we can't start up without the establishments being able to open and having no capacity limits. The last straw for us cancelling the Spring session was before being closed, those places could have no more than 25 people at once which would go over our amount of people present pretty fast.

I’m glad shes enjoying it. I’d worry she’d loose her mind being at home.

But it sure as hell beats being stuck on a ship or sub. IDK how navy people do it. I really don’t.

    Thsts how I feel.

Don’t get me wrong its super important to try to minimize the spread of this thing BUT the economy impacts public health arguably more and longer lasting than COVID. So a balance has to be struck here.

If she wasn’t pregnant then she would hate it but it means she gets paid to chill all day and relax while making a baby lol

This weekend was meh. 10 mi Sat, 6 this AM.

Saturday I dealt with ab spasms the first 6 miles and had some this morning aswell.

I think my first speed day this week I’m going to find out the ab tear is not healed enough to do my marathon program.

If I crash and burn on my intervals on Tuesday then I guess I just get to continue working on my lifting.

So really no matter what I’m happy.

somestimes you gotta push the limits?

same here! I always had a job that would test me, many times a year even hair samples. it wasnt worth risking my job, ever. now it might be on my bucket list but im def not in a hurry.

Theres nothing wrog with Reba. She's a freaking ICON! I saw her live in Vegas in 2018 with Brooks and Dunn. That show was.... breathtaking. Still today, thinking about it I get high off it. That good. I feel ya man. Country is the shit.

I am with you on this. i just think socially we aren't ready to be spoken to by our neighbors and community. like a "masks required" sign seems to spark anger/hatred/yelling/confrontation based on all the angry mask-less karens running around. A mask is free, FREE. and seems to have worked for others around the globe. <-- careful, this is NOT a political comment, its a fact, that when you keep your germs contained and to yourself its harder for them to spread to others. But i get anxious even considering ASKING another person, from my community and area, "hey, did you forget your mask?" in a neighborly tone. because people FREAK the FUCK out.

the above has kept me looking too hard for a gym, not to mention they arent open and my apt has a BADASS gym it just isnt open :-( so i am sticking with my stretchy bands and body weight which are pretty kickass to avoid annoying-ass confrontational looks while i wear my mask over my nose and mouth when I am not at home.

And did a 4 mile hike yesterday and it's always good getting out into nature and getting the muscles moving :)
