I'm familiar with him I have to give that a listen But I did look at what he recommended back in April which was pretty much gold stocks.

 

I have much more of a safety net going right now on my positions in case of another crash. I would take a square kick in the jewels right now because I have a lot of calls out for several different stocks right now. Basically I have about 8% in options right now. Hopefully the market lets me close those before it takes it's next big dip. I just reread this and realized I said right now right now right now right now right now. Is it too early for a single malt?

 

The S&P went up about 30% last year. Pick your crisis, COVID or not, but that’s not sustainable. You have to hold for decades and you get that smoothed out 10% per year.

 

That far out at least time decay shouldn't hurt at all.

The last 2 weeks have been rough on my play account. Went from 98% up to a little over 60%. I've still got those SNAP calls with Aug expiry so those might recover. I've got those INO shares that might recover. I've also got 4 NVDA Aug $415 calls. 2 MSFT Aug $215 calls.

The problem with those NVDA calls is they expire one day after NVDA earnings. NVDA releases earnings after close on 20th. The options expire on the 21st. I usually like to leave 30 days after earnings until expiry. The problem was I could only get 2 Sept calls at the same strike compared to 4 Aug calls. I rolled the dice with the Aug expiry. As long as they do what I think they will do I'll come out ahead. If they miss earnings I'm going to be screwed. lol

 

I don't want to jinx you at all so I'm not going to AMD say what I say think about most of the chip manufacturers and their potential earnings upcoming....

I'm hoping snap gets a little bump from this ban tick-tock movement... even though I think people would be smart enough to figure out on their own not to install the Chinese spyware app...oh silly me what amI saying....

 

I can't lie and say I hope TikTok doesn't get banned. I'm sure it will cause a jump in SNAP. That said, ByteDance is already trying to sell the TikTok division to a US company. Most likely MSFT. That won't happen overnight though. So, in an ideal world, TikTok gets banned today. SNAP jumps this week and I unload those options.

 

Yeah...I'm free market...
But I'm torn because I KNOW Huawei was/is actively spying through their tech. They found back doors all over their telecommunications equipment...So they are banned in the U.S....so if TikTok is just a next level attempt at the same process we have to decide what constitutes a national (stupidity) security risk...

it can be a wonderfully run perfect company and some nimrod can crash it 6% someday. Social media platforms are a no from me.

 

it wouldn't be a jinx to talk about any chip manufacturer's earning. AMD and QCOM both beat and went up. AVGO and INTC both met and went down. NVDA is an a better position then any of them after it's MLNX buy-out. When I got these options there was talk of NVDA also buying ARM from SoftBank. The past 2 weeks have bought those talks from the initial stages to "late stages".

ARM has it's hand in a large percentage of data center chips and GPU's. If NVDA acquires them it sets NVDA up to not only sell it's own server side chip set but to also generate revenue from ARMs licensing on chip sets it doesn't make. It's a long play for NVDA to be supremely dominate, even more so then now, in the server side of database centers. If they close out that deal before earnings I'll be very happy.

Tried that with Tesla last week. I didnt have the balls to stay in long enough. In 1450...then it went to 1400 (maybe less), then I got back out at 1450 and it shot to 1550 or so before dying again by Friday. Oh well.

so dump everything as the dollar will be worthless ... seems legit. Mr. Buffet is a moron then and every other bag holder. I do hate big gov though and agree its not free and if taxes dont pay for all these programs then its going to result in massive inflation. So I guess the main question is where do I move total ira before the end of the us stock market? China will be number 1 for at least all our liftimes so a total transfer now must be the best bet in their market.

 

The federal reserve just created a few trillion usd out of no where. There is no such thing as a free market.

Nope. I need the dollar to stay week for a little bit. That will keep oil prices trending higher. Once I dump my UCO positions the dollar can climb back up. lol
