I have a 17 Sport manual with 85,000 kms which I think may be the same amount of mileage as this one when converted to miles.

You've already gotten great responses to your questions so won't answer them all but I will comment on the shift knob wear. My knob as well as an extensive amount of wear. In fact, it's one of those things that bother me about the truck. To me it just shows as cheap material by the manufacturer and not an indication of abuse as one would have looked for in older vehicles. The stock knobs just don't seem to last on this trucks compared to all the manual vehicles I have owned in 30 plus years.

Well, I drove 17 hours (round trip) to bring her home, so I really hope it was worth it. She drove really well so far (from a small town in MT back to CO). Having my mechanic check her out this week to make sure she has a clean bill of health.

Thank you all! I really appreciate all the info, advice, and support!

Yea, the shifter knob actually doesn't bother me all that much when I get down to the nitty-gritty, but I understand your frustration. Hopefully you like everything else about you 2017 and this is the only thing they skimped on, because I just got mine.

I don't think anyone answered your question about the tires. They're only 1 size bigger than stock which isn't gonna cause any problems and Goodyear Wrangler DuraTracs are excellent tires. Also looks like it has plenty of tread left. Definitely keepers.
