Man I feel as if my truck just doesn’t run as good as some of y’alls. Either that or my other cars just make it seem slow. Cause I drive a lot of stock 3rd gens and the top end feels better on those. Then again I really do need to regear but I just can’t believe it’ll make that much of a difference?

How much do you weigh, what size pulley are you running, and what mods do you have to support it, or lack thereof? I'll bet you something is off or missing that will bring you right back up to proper levels.

Weight is practically stock except wheels and tires. No skids or armor. Mods are URD fuel pump upgrade, 2.825 supergrip pulley, full URD exhaust, intake and JustDsm tune. I should say I run 315/75/16 tires

I’ve done quite a few overly complex, really tight swaps and the key is patients. And having a really bad ass shop with every tool at my disposal really helps too

I think it's your tires bud. You need to regear to regain your acceleration back to stock levels to compensate for the larger rotating mass.

That's just my personal opinion. I would start there.

While I do agree I just can’t get my head around that regearing would make THAT much of a difference. Mostly considering I even used to have 255/85/16 tires and it didn’t feel too different but then again I should just throw on a stock set to see what it feels like

Just my take on the matter bud. I say it's worth it, some may not. It just depends how much power you ultimately want to make. E85 on the table nets you another 20-30 horse supposedly.

Besides, who wants to drive around in a NA engine? Cammed or not, there's just something so much more exciting about boost. :)

You are running 35s bro. That vs OE 31s is a big difference. Enough to impact perceptive "giddyup."

Considering you are running OE 3:73s on your diff, you may need to step it up to 4:56s or 4:88s.

Yea 4:56s are probably in the next round of mods. That, TE’s and a 6 piston brake setup. I don’t wanna do 4:88’s just cause I might go back down to 33’s and I don’t have armor

4:56s it is then. That should give you what you are looking for once again.

I am at 32s and even then apparently I technically may need a resize.

If you could do it all over again would you still do the TRD setup? I think if the procharger setup was out when I was shopping I would have gone that route

The only CARB approved power adder.. 50 state legal making me legal anywhere I go in the continental US. It's all pony power at this point and given how well any mod responds to the boost, yeah I'd do it all over again.

Ahh makes sense. None of my cars are carb legal at this point lol. Good thing about Oregon

It's just purely based on a needs basis. For me I like my power down lower so I like the lower power maker that the roots offers over the centrifugal style turbo blower.

Hahahaha. You know I have a tendency to talk a lot of crap on here because TW is my outlet to act like a jackass. $6000 later and I still don't have my blowie or a clean house.

Thanks. I hadn't thought about that since it had run clean and the data logs weren't showing a problem. I'll give it a shot when San Diego cools off.

Urd is something special. They have good products but man do they think that their products never fail or work as intended. The o2 simulators only worked on a Arizona Highway at 90mph for about 150 miles then never worked again ever. Emailed them and they kinda told me to fuck off
