Yotamasters... you guys recommend?

Anyone here have experience or have their truck regear through Yotamasters in corona? I know the reps from nitro gears highly recommended them but I would love to hear input from the taco community.

All I know about them is a guy had work had some work done to his 2nd gen and was happy with them. I don't know the nature of the work, it might have just been armor.

Which gears are you putting in....and tire size?

 

5.29 and 35s afterwards. Currently Running 33s

 

Wow, nice. I'd like to get to that at some point. I'm not happy with the 255/85/16.

Which suspension setup are you running, and I'm assuming that you have to do the cmc and then some?

 

Heard of a lot of folks having issues with gears from them.

Let me word it a different way.....
I've heard of a disproportionate amount of differential failures coming from their shop.

 

any recommendation for gear install in SoCal?

When I was asking about the marlin taco box they deferred to them....

 

If you've got a DD, I would recommend ordering through ECGS and just doing a diff swap.

Expensive as hell but they are reliable and stand behind their work from what I've heard.

 

i would go with yotamasters hands down. they do good work.

 

Premier West Gears in Corona is good. There was a group buy going on not too long ago. I'm sure you can get more insight from those guys. I know a bunch of jeepers that got gears done by them and have had no issues
