South Carolina BS thread under new MANAGEMENT and lives in SC

I’m not sure if any of them make pellet grills though. I like my Pit Boss, it works great for no more than I use it (twice-ish a week)

 

My next will be a rec tec i think. Assembled in Georgia, mfr’d overseas though i think. They have a real good following, you can visit next time near the ATL i think.

If you want a high end pellet grill, I would go with a Yoder YS640s

 

Awesome. That seems to be a bit less expensive than a MAK. Still a grip of cash.

 

I might recommend getting a “cheap” one and see how much you like it and use it and then potentially upgrade down the road...that’s kind of where I’m at in my life cycle

 

same here. Got the pit boss on sale to try it and see if I liked it. I’ll get something more high end in a few years

 

Yeah- make sense. I knew made in USA would be more- but had no idea they would be stupid expensive.

We bought a quarter cow a few months back. Been getting good use of my Webber, but its on its last legs...

If only there were someone we knew whom:

1. liked to eat meat
3. Was crafty with steel.

 

I bought an OONI Karu pizza oven earlier today. Hoping it ships before the estimated mid-Oct date listed on their website. Idk that I’ll still be interested by then

 

If kamado style is what you want I recommend the Vision series grills. They are up there with kamado joe and for a fraction of the cost. Have mine and love it!

how does running through the locks actually work? do you have to pay?

 

I looked at getting on the waiting list to join them but their requirement of having an NRA membership, I have a bit of a qualm with that. I'm not a fan of some of their politics, so to tread carefully here, GOA on the other hand. Them's cool cats.
