    I don't know how guys put so much weight on the shell without destroying the bed. I've dealt with the cracking below the taillights by putting bed stiffeners on. Then the seam above the taillights started to separate :annoyed:


    Im done with fiberglass, whatever the next canopy is has to be lighter and have the windoors on the side.

    Wouldn't you like to know!
    I enjoy having the shell but sometimes I think that it's unnecessary for my everyday life and I'm just burning up gas with it on. Wish I had a place to store it while I'm not using it for travel. Ideally I would like to have an undercover or a RollX for everyday usage.

    Thats why the alucab is looking good, they only weigh like 120 lbs. Pretty sure the fiberglass leers are around 225. Such a bitch to take off/put back on.

    Apparently the alucabs can hold over 400 lbs right on the roof, they're very strong for how light they are

    Thats where I'm at. I have a Retrax and love it. But there are times I wish I had a hard she'll too. I've toyed with the idea Of getting one but after hearing similar stories and issues and amount of fee rare times I'd need it I've decided my money spent better elsewhere lol
