I've switched from XTR Trail to these (they are basically XT Trail for BMX). They have tighter retention than XTR. For example, I ran the XTR's at max spring tension with 51 cleats and still got accidental release at times. With these, I only run 25% tension. The downside is that there is only 2 degrees of float compared to 8% of thee XTRs.

Congrats on the sale! Yeah I’m close to being fully recovered, mostly just lower back stiffness at 11 weeks. At week nine I went on my first road ride, and week ten I was able to start feeling pretty normal again. I’m just excited to hit the trails and park

Wife and I have attempted some short rides the last two weeks. One at Anne Springs and Dupont. Its just not fun in this soup. Never experienced the western heat on a bike. Dad said it was going to feel like 120 outside Boise. But with humidity under 20% I think I would be ok with it.

I've never ridden out there, but I've spent some time in Phoenix in the summer. It's hot but your right, the low humidity let's your body/sweat do it's job and actually cool you. I run a couple times a week and even at 75F, when it's 90+% RH there have been times when I have had to slow down because I was overheating.

Dude, I hear ya. But that 100+ dry heat is brutal in its own way. Best way to describe it is a hair dryer on High constantly blowing on your face (and the rest of you). No escape, and the sun at altitude is another factor, which feels like it adds another 20 degrees and makes your skin feel like jerky on a pan.
The one good thing about riding out west, is that once you're in the mountains, you're golden. Drops like 25+, cool air, breeze.

Ran those before my XTRs. Had them for a few years and was mostly happy. I guess I could go back to those, but I think I'm just looking for an excuse to try something else.

Think I'm gonna try . I'll report back so the group knowledge base can grow!

I ran Crank Bro Candy for a couple years before I switched to SPD. It's SPD from here on out for me, there is a reason why they are so popular.

Those look sweet. I started out on times and they were solid but that exposed front spring took some hits to the point the spring was loose. It still worked but eventually I just switch to SPDs cause of that.

Took a mini road to volunteer as tribute and submit to the Trials of the Trails and visit the Infamous Carbon Forges of Badassery where indomitable steeds are chiseled from the soul of Zeus, himself, and infused with might of the Kraken, saturated with the agility of the winged Pegasus, and imbued with the beauty of Aphrodite. Aye, today shall be glorious.

Aka I’m went to Bellingham to ride some trails and see if EVIL Bike Co headquarters is cool or not.

I think these guys got the last of the current stock. I've heard from more than one place that they will not really have much else until the end of the year.

:headbang: You're in cedar city? Go visit Brian Head and get some gnar bike park runs in, Thunder Mountain is pretty close by, and I assume you've ridden all of Iron Hills (Lava Flow, Lichen it, Etc) Lava Flow is one of my favorite trails down there, but def helps to be familiar with that trail.
