I'm a new rider...like beginning of July new. I really like the low speed maneuvers, but my confidence just isn't there yet. When I go out for a ride, I'll spend some time at the local high school working on them.

All good stuff here. The skills you will develop in that parking lot could save your life out on the road. Welcome to the group!

Welcome to the world of two wheels! @MagtechPA's advice is spot on. Two things to keep in mind are counter-balancing will save your bacon at low speeds and when you are counter-balancing, your bike will go a lot further than you think it will.

    Amen.

Apparently it was parking lot day today?

I got out on all 3 bikes through out the day:

Started out on the CT90, ripped around the school parking lot near my house and kept trying to jump the speed island, I almost got thrown off the seat by the buck a couple times hahaha went to another part of town to take some pictures and ran out of gas for the second time ever. GF had to come grab me so I could steal some out of another bike and come back. Luckily I was maybe a mile and a half from home. Slow small bikes revved to the moon are so damn fun.

Took the CB750 out for ten or so miles and got her her own photo shoot too.

Then to wrap up the day before dinner GF and I took the F800GS out through the back highways/farm roads for about an hour.

Not a bad sunday at all.

Edit: I put on real clothes and shoes when I took the bigger bikes out, for the record haha

Thanks, yo! I’m going to guess you meant the CB750 and not the CT90 haha but on the off chance you meant the 90, here’s the parking lot rip edit. I’m still cracking up watching it.

Amazon is sucking again. Ordered a tank bag on Friday, and it was supposed to get here today. But now delayed until 8/13. I cancelled and ordered from ebay. Saved $8 also.

FWIW, there’s a huge delay in shipping from USPS. For anyone following the news, it’s pretty bad right now. Given that they’re one of the main carriers for Amazon other than their own drivers/contractors it makes ordering anything from them a pain. That’s about all I can say without getting banned for politics.

I cancelled my prime membership a few years ago so I’m used to the long wait times on shipping.

Doesn’t matter where you shop, it’s USPS that’s the issue right now. Google some recent articles so you can see why. Places that ship via fedex and UPS aren’t affected as well as thing s that ship through Prime.

Link I'm posting is for a small, pretty much one man shop in S.D. but Alex is a FJR1300 owner and generally treats all riders really well. I get nothing out of this and haven't even dealt with him myself but know several FJR forum folks who have. Since it's not a huge name like Revzilla you might not have even known about him. Worth checking out.

I gave up on ebay many years ago, but recently I’ve actually found some good stuff on there. I’m surprised.
