well at first you were going to be flying all over the world then you're going to be flying just to a select area then you were home and now you don't have a garage shop or tools.

    Hope all is well

All is good. The flying gig is still on, just making trips back and forth to home in between to help with the move. Got an offer on the house I couldn't turn down so we are renting a condo for the time being until we decide where we want to be.

I got one of your kits a while back, but finally got it installed the other day. I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. The difference in clutch feel is unreal. Every MT taco should have one of these.

I didn’t remove the exhaust bracket. That thing wasn’t coming off my truck without a lot of persuasion

I wonder if someone should collect all the discarded accumulators, dremel them out, and re-sell as a stealth delete kit?
Not gonna lie, I do feel inadequate now that I know someone was able to do this. I think I _might_ have been able to if I had a much longer ratcheting wrench for the heat shield and some better way to remove the top input and connect to the kit, but even then I'm not sure the 12mm bolts holding the accumulator on would be accessible. Though I suppose it'd be totally OK to just leave that thing in place and bypass it?

I was able to remove everything with a combination of sockets and end wrenches. Some of it was kind of a pain but it was still way less time than i would have spent trying to get that exhaust bracket off.

This modification made a huge improvement. I am now relearning how to use the clutch as it is meant to be. In a short time it will me muscle memory as it is on sport bikes that I have ridden for 40 years, not to mention many cars.

Toyota needs to have a "Voice of Reason" Overlord to stop the moron engineers from over thinking things and doing stupid shit. For the right price I ....?

They do have an owner's panel of about 20,000 customers that they email surveys and various in-depth questionnaires once a month. Not sure how much they follow up on it but I do enjoy answering the surveys and doing the questionnaires

Well, let's talk about results of the "owners panel".
    1. Did any of them vote in favor of a poor running engine in order to squeeze .0001 more MPG out of it? Thanks to OVTune and some cash, that has been resolved for me & others.
    2. The clutch accumulator. Buy an automatic if you cannot drive manual & refuse to learn.
    3. Halogen headlight & fog light bulbs. Oh, This is because of a government regulation? Our government mandate the use of old technology instead of brighter, safer head light bulbs? To hell with that. Government over reach.
    4. Cramped ergonomics, front & rear seats. A few more inches would solve this. Is the "engineering challenge" too great? Of course not.

Despite all this, I love my Tacoma. So do more mid-size truck buyers than any other brand. But, the Tacoma could be so much better with a few small, obvious improvements.

Most of that stuff isnt on there lol. I will say this though

1: the 3.5 is a fine engine. More power, more torque, and better economy that the 4.0 it replaced. That being said, the 4.0 was desig Ed as a truck engine from the get go, hence the different and earlier torque curve and power band. Honestly, I don't mind the 3.5.

2: amen. Everyone has accumulators now and it's blows. Want a headache? Go drive a Colorado or a Gladiator with a manual. Oof

3: not sure about this, since plenty of manufacturers use brighter lighting. I didn't have an issue with taco lights.... Until I went wheeling on a mountainside in the dark. 2020's do have massive lighting upgrades. My real gripe is with the brake lights and turn signals. Hence the MESO stage 1 Total Tail Light conversion kit. Dynamite.

4: it's a mid size truck with excellent ground clearance. If you're over 6ft, it won't be the most comfortable truck. Hate to say it, but the only solution there seems to be something called the "Tundra" upgrade :D

I missed the 4.0 for a long time.. after tuning (especially 2.0 SFOB), i dont miss the 4.0. it has the drivability and i get better fuel economy.

I did the MESO Stage 1 Taillight upgrade also and agree, Very Nice.

    The Hi-Beam LEDs I installed are Alla Lighting Mini FL-BH H8 H9 H11 12,500 Lumen, 90W, 6000K. It's like daytime when I flip them on.

Long as they're angled and patterned correctly. Nothing like getting blinded by some clown in a Silverado with headlights angled too high

Hi Beams. You don't shine them in anyones face regardless. The "blade" gets oriented vertically with the LEDs aimed left & right.
