Ive bought all my tires at Discount Tire...from the Challenger to Wrangler. I am truly interested in putting some skinnies on my new 2020 Tacoma SR. Not planning on a lift keeping it pretty stock. I know you guys sell the 235 85r16...on your website it states it does not fit my model of vehicle. Will they still get me the tires mount and balance them?

Might want to call and ask a local dealer, but I would assume so. They mounted my 315/75/16s and balanced, but I was well aware of it being an issue and doing trimming and hammering after mounting so I didn't go too crazy...

Good point Ive always had pretty good luck with them guess it won't hurt to ask. Don't really see it being a problem, everyone wants business...especially these days!

Thank you so much for your continued support, Mark!

As long as the tires are properly load rated for your truck and also approved for the wheels width, absolutely, we can install the tires for you

Dang, this doesn't make me feel good. One set of wheels I'm looking at I hear causes problems because DT can't get enough threads on (FN FX Pro). The other is a 7" width wheel which limits approved tire sizes (285 starts at 7.5").

    Hi @TheCochese-

When you mention threads, are you referring to the lug hardware? If so, an extended thread (ET) lug nut should yield the proper amount of thread engagement.

As for a 285 (such as 285/75R-16 or 285/70R-17) we will install this size on a 7-inch wide wheel as it meets the safety standards outlined by the US-TRA build guidelines

Yes, there have been some issues using the extended thread nuts on the wheels in question as they will damage them. However that's irrelevant if you'll install a tire like the BFG KO2 285/70-17 on the TRD 4Runner wheels which measure 17x7. If you're confirming that, then I can rest easy as I won't go to any other tire shop.

    I appreciate the assistance!
