What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

If you really wanted you could just drain it out into a clean container and put it back in since it’s pretty new.

 

Ive seen them, but not tested them. Difficult to say for certain, but from online comparisons to Morimoto in 3rd Gen form and many online photos the beam pattern looks sub-par, too much foreground light and not enough distance light. The peak intensity in the pattern looks way to low, when it should be right up at the cut off.

 

Welp just found out I don’t own a socket big enough for it. Looks like it’s a 21 or 21mm, biggest I own is 19. Gotta go to the hardware store in the morning. For now, I cleaned it and put cardboard under to see how bad it is.

 

They look fantastic, just way too expensive. They change the whole look of the truck for the better.

 

It’s 24mm. The deep impact socket set from harbor freight has one. Pretty inexpensive set. Good luck!

Manual trans has no temp sensor. So, no.

Also much less risk of overheating heavy weight gear lube vs much thinner ATF.

 

Don’t forget to get the fill port opened first!

Finally getting around to doing my 5100/885 AAL set up after it sitting in my garage since Christmas. But I've got new hubs/bearings going on up front as well. Slow moving when its just you and it's Florida in the summer

 

I have yet to receive the first one. I don't know who/what agency to contact.

I went from the old Spyder projector Headlights with an HID Retrofit, to the AlphaRex and I can tell you, from driving around town, that it is like night and day. From a practical standpoint, these light are very bright/clear and a definite upgrade to stock and other off-the-shelf options. Not to mention the quality. In my opinion, these are the first aftermarket headlights that are as good, if not better, than OEM.

Now I have not retrofitted my OEM lights with Morimoto projectors but I found some videos that compare Morimoto to AlphaRex and there respective technologies. Please compare for your self but it's pretty clear to me, that I made the right choice.

2013 TRD OR DC SB. Pretty clean... was traded for a new Tacoma and my buddy at the dealership gave me a heads up. Excited to start a build and have the good ole 4.0 again.

Already ordered TRD pro style headlights and grille insert... now to color match the surround and take it wheelin.
