    You did a lot of work! Well you are going to have to backtrack here and really zero in on that noise. I haven't really read much of the previous posts as sometimes I'm horrible at that. Most important of all, was the noise present prior to the cooling system leak repairs?

    Pretty sure it's definitely one of the turny-spinny things under the hood!

    ;)

    I have agree it sounds power-steering-related, and just because you had a new pump installed doesn't mean it's a good pump, next guess is alternator. LOTS of parts, especially if they're 3rd party manufacture are crap out of the box. If you don't have one, can't borrow one and/or don't want to buy a mechanic's stethoscope, a 2' piece of plastic tubing will do the trick. Put it on each turny and/or spinny thing followed by the rack itself. It should be VERY clear what's causing the problem then.

    Damn on those records shows that almost everything is being replaced on your truck. in my opinion those records looks fishy if that was a shop who performed those repairs for ya. you should have a trouble free truck. Just my personal opinion, i perform my own repairs never have to replace so many parts on my vehicles.

    So took this video today for you (ever so helpful) guys... this is after replacing PS pump, turning wheels to get air out and driving it a bunch...

    Definitely power steering whine. Where did you get your replacement parts from? If they are aftermarket that is a potential issue right there as aftermarket parts especially from the cheapie stores are questionable in reliability at best.

    *Well in actuality, only the water pump and thermostat really "needed" to be replaced. But given that its an 20 year old truck, and we were there anyways, we replaced the belts and radiator hoses. And by "we" i mean a family friend came out to help work on my truck. I mostly just watched and observed learning what I could. Let's just say that it was an interesting However frustrating experience. He ended up breaking alot of bolts and apparently damaged the original Crankshaft pulley/Harmonic Balancer.
    Ugh. Never again. :annoyed::facepalm:

    I too prefer oem. But given the extensive cost of an oem pump, this was all we could afford. So yes, it is aftermarket unfortunately.

    Boy with friends like that wh9 needs enemies :rolleyes:

    ive dealt with a lot of gremlins and my advice is dont throw parts at it, you need to pinpoint the problem, ik the v6 has a key that if its worn can cause it to shake like mad

    I believe the recommended was dex3, if I remember correctly.
    Tho I wonder if maybe one of the hoses may be clogged or something as well. Because it doesn't "seem" as tho the ps fluid level is moving at all? I wanted to just replace the hoses as well, since its a new pump, but mom's husband said that it wasn't necessary. ‍♀️

    Go to the pickyourpart, toyotapartsdeal

    I kinda feel like some mechanics have taken advantage of you being a female, let your dad or bf get it inspected

    im sure its the power steering , also sounds like a vacuum leak in one of the vidz

    With the truck running can you have someone turn the steering wheel while you record the engine bay.

    Like others have said it sounds a lot like power steering pump noise.
