So my 2010 has the typical A/C issues with only blowing on high or not blowing at all every few months. Finally went out yesterday for good I think. I've decided to stop wiggling the resistor harness and slamming my glovebox door to fix it.

My first thought was to to junkyard and cut a new harness/resistor then I found this

    https://www.amazon.com/Resistor-Har...5&psc=1#aw-udpv3-customer-reviews_feature_div

Ordered and will update when installed. Also ordered new blower fan motor just in case

I get that too. But that should be less than an hours work and parts.

part arrived today. I'm not excited to install it because of the poor reviews. Reading them took the wind out of my sails.

Unfortunately it’s the dealership that gets all of the money and the tech gets his hourly rate on book time.

Strange, Amazon says this fits 4 cylinder Tacomas but not V6??

I checked with OEM part and it matched up with the number, that's why I ordered it

Sounds good. It didn't make any sense that there would be different parts for this based on the engine. As excellent as Amazon is about a lot of stuff they don't have the car parts thing down. I may order one of these just to have around for "when" it happens.

I’m going to wait for more feedback with hopes of improvements to reliability based on the negative feedback on the product. The plug seems to burn out quickly just like the OE. Is it less about the relay and more about the plug?

What relay? You mean the resistor assembly?

If so yes the connector is the weak link.

Amazon is wrong on this, it should be the same part. They haven't really figured out the auto parts game yet, especially applications. Not sure why... it's like they really aren't trying or something.

If that is your issue go to a dealership and get the OEM part. It is only like $30 more. I bought the Amazon one because it was cheaper and had good reviews. I got mine in last night. Will update later today when i get it installed.

Finally got a chance to write my review. (Sorry no pics)

It works. My issues have been fixed with just replacing the resistor.

The factory harness has some play in it where it connects, so I plan to replace that next.

Also am going to replace blower motor for shits and gigs.
