You’re aging faster than me! I’m at 38k as of today’s fuel up.

An extra retainer clip added to the top pin is the miracle for sure

What’s up guy? I came across this thread and noticed it said TRD PRO so I figured I’d check it out. I have a question that maybe someone can help me out. I have a 15 TRD Pro and I wanna upgrade my suspension. It’s causing my tires to cup real bad. I’m just not sure what’s a upgrade from the factor / the same. I was looking at the Bilstein 6120 kit with Dakar leaf and also the stage 2 icon 0-3 with AAL. I just don’t want to do a AAL , I really would rather go RXT route. Anyone have any links?

    Welcome, man!

A couple of us have gone with the RXT Leaf packs and have great results. The Bilstein 6112/5160 combo would be as close as it gets to your stock suspension, minus the TRD valving. If you want to mimic it, go with the 600lb coils for the front.

awesome thanks! How do you feel personally about Icons? I’ve heard mixed. I live in Philadelphia where they salt the roads in the winter because it rains so... lol. I’m just not sure what route to go. I definitely don’t want the AAL with this set up but can’t find them without it.

And I’ve heard that Dakar leaf is super rough on the ride. I’m not towing or hauling.

I personally enjoyed Icon coilovers and shocks when I had them. Off the shelf, they’re much stiffer than your Pro Bilstein’s since they’re meant to soften up the faster you go like on whoops. You’ll feel bumps and crevices more on the road in return. But man could I turn on a dime when cornering(had my sway bar on at the time). They come standard with 700lb coils up front, 100lbs more spring rate than what you have now.

The RXT leaf packs are very accommodating due to the 3 different options they provide. The only static weight I carry in the rear is my full-sized spare and I’m on Option 1. It does handle additional load very well. Option 2 might be better for you since you’ll be carrying around a tent.

I totally forgot to post links like you asked at first. Our go-to vendors on the forum are:

Welcome, good to have you here!

Just curious, how many miles do you have on the original suspension?

Thanks, Ryan! I love a warm welcome!

I had about 48k-49k miles before I replaced my original suspension to Icon’s. What’s the largest tire I can fit on stock suspension??

    :D

That’s right on par with the life expectancy most people are getting out of them.

Oh wow , I’m fairly new so I didn’t know! I’m just stuck in a hard place really. I wanna get something identical to them or upgrade. I’m just a on a budget right now. Seems like I need new leafs and suspension so I’m looking at the best possible set up.
