    This is exactly right.

Nowhere did I say that you should pass of a TRD OR as a TRD Pro if it isn't. That would be dishonest.
But to claim that the trucks are somehow fundamentally different with the exact same parts because one says OR and the other says Pro defies logic.
The trucks are identical Doesn't matter who put what on.

Were arguing semantics here. The TRD Pro is a badge, it's apparently a very good marketing ploy as well.
    =)

I’m not even sure how this is arguable o_O
If a SR5 has all the parts to be made to look like a pro, it’s just a upgraded SR5. And should be labeled as such:D

It's a badge and a VIN digit is all.

Considering the early dealer markups on the first Pros that were available, I'd say it was a Toyota conspiracy considering mechanically speaking, they werent much more than suspension and cosmetics. You even lost the sunroof.

Who did that? I happen to think this is a pretty good debate.

It goes to the core of car ownership. People want exclusivity, in the case of the TRD Pro Toyota has not given that to Pro owners IMO.
By making OEM Pro parts available in the aftermarket it removes the exclusiveness of the truck and simply makes it a convenience to buy the Pro.

This argument that if the two trucks (TRD OR and TRD Pro) sat side by side with same exact parts and one is better than the other and costs more because one is branded a Pro, to me, defies logic. I have said it over and over it's the same truck. Nothing Is different except a badge and a Vin digit.

Lol I see what you're saying here but its verifiably false. If you took a 35k TRDOR and put 10k into it, you've got a 36k TRDOR

In fact my 2017 pro is worth the exact same as when I bout it 2 years ago right now.

Yes but you have the same truck =).

I get what your saying and as far as badging goes and resale I'll concede the point.

But to say one is somehow better than the other if there both the same, that I cannot concede.

    =)

I mean yeah you can have almost the exact same thing with aTRDOR, and it would be a nice one but:

A Spade is a Spade and should be called as such.

That's how I view it as well. It's still a Tacoma OR with addition accessories available to any buyer excluding the badge and VIN digit.
