naruto isn't very deep, but I enjoyed it. I rewatched it all recently in english since I finished the anime in Japanese reading subs.

I think the comicon ordeal is cool, I'd go there, but that's more than just anime that's everything pop culture.
You get anime, you get american based comics, you get real life shows as well TWD, Breaking Bad, etc etc..

I look at comicon no different than gun shows, car shows, or even events.

What's weird though is the people who dress up as animals and make sexual references lol.

Ive watched naruto/ shippuden all 900 episodes in Japanese and halfway in English. Dude the whole show is how there is too much hate in the world and how to resolve that. I would consider that pretty deep lol.

I'm not saying it's not good, I'm saying it's not deep. Did the series really make you question too much.

Now I've gotta think about the ones that made me question right and wrong. I think Tokyo Ghoul did somewhat, but it's been so long since I've watched it now.

Death Note is a good one. Yes these people deserve to die, but who am I to take their life. It makes you think, but it's not overly complex.

I don't think many anime's are complex as in hard to figure out what's going on, but some that may cause controversy.
The battle of good vs evil is easy and not deep, the reasoning between when the evil starts making rationale claims is morale questioning.
