I've had people in the passenger seat including the wife...none have complained that seat shakes. I've gotten an earful how i gave up my cadillac ride though with the tundra.

Some are talking about a shake on the passenger side. Had a 2010 for 10 years never experienced that on mine. Not saying it's not true but it must be isolated or surely in 10 years I would've noticed it dont you think

Most vehicles will have problems of some sort, and short of a German sports car, I feel the reliability gap has closed a lot. Toyota is no longer that crazy reliable vehicle compared to company x (pick your brand). I have friends with fords and chevy’s that have 300k miles on them with few to no issues. Huge positive for the auto industry.

Buy what you like (I’ve said it before, but the Tacoma is HANDS DOWN the best looking midsize by far) and drive the hell out of it. Who cares what other people think? Just don’t put raptor lights on a Tacoma ;)

    hahah!
that's the one. I've never felt it in the drivers seat but watching that passenger seat shake going down a smooth hwy is crazy. both 2ng gens did it as
does the 2016........but not always, that's what's odd.

Sounds to me like you need to be a little more attentive to her needs...

I learned JD power was full of shit when I started seeing those chevy commercials about "initial quality"

    1. its a chevy, no way it has any awards
    2. What in the lords name is "initial quality"...its a new car...shouldn't they all be good?

I read a news story on the convoluted system JD Power and GM used for that. Sounded like GM supplied the Owners names for the questionnaire so they were able to basically cherry pick thru to find people that didn't have issues with their vehicles.

The saddest part is that, I don't think anyone should be surprised to hear that LOL

*Me yelling at the TV* "It's a chevy cruise for fuck sake...we all know its crap"

I think the word chevy uses is initial quality...like said above, a month to 3 months is considered long term reliability for them.

Sounds about right. The next 3 years is spent getting stuff fixed at the dealer under warranty. By year 5 the owner gets fed up and trades it for another brand. Years 5-10 with the second owner the vehicle falls apart and by year 10 most GMs are in the junkyard.
