I agree that the only way to go is through an outside reseller like AccuTune. I'm super happy with the ones I got from them. Had zero problems with them so far. You pay a bit of a premium, but I think it's worth it considering you get a custom valve job specific to your vehicle and one free rebuild when you purchase from them. Great customer support too.

Interesting though about the quality control, haven't really heard or seen many issues with Fox before (other than surface finish stuff to do with climates & eating through the coatings)

    Uses NFlow technology

    http://www.koyoradracing.com/about/technology.asp
    N-FLO Technology

When factory equipped radiators have inlet and outlet locations that allow proper placement, Koyorad carefully welds aluminum partitions in the upper and lower tanks of the radiator. This is Koyorad’s N-Flo Technology which allows for a double or triple pass radiator. This design cools more efficiently by allowing the coolant to remain in the radiator for a longer period of time therefore transferring more heat to the surrounding air. N-Flo Technology is available on cars that are known to have limited airflow to the radiator. Unless noted otherwise, all Koyorad N-Flo Aluminum Radiators are Nocolok brazed, designed as a factory fit, direct bolt in with no engine modifications necessary, and retain mounts for the stock fan shrouds and fans. See notes in individual item descriptions for details.

Those tires come from my 06' Pontiac Vibe, I've been working on that car since March for the Gambler 500, the thing has a 225/75r15 tires, 40mm strut lift and 2 inch wheel spacers, and now sits just as high as my Tacoma. I stashed all the old wheels in the bed of the Tacoma until I can find out what to do with them.

Yeah I have been very happy with mine. Truck stays nice and cool, even heavily loaded in the middle of summer. Build quality is really good also and I have zero issues or leaks so far. Fit was fantastic, you'd never know it was aftermarket.

The only thing i see that I don't like is the direction the overflow tube. Why in the hell did they point it straight back and not to the side like the factory one?

Yeah I wondered the same thing, seemed like an odd choice. Koyo recommends getting their cap also, which I did. I wish it pointed the same as stock. I wouldn't think it being for a 4-Runner would make a difference with relation to it's direction as I think they are the same, but at least it's a small thing. Some people mentioned it sat lower also but I haven't had any issues. It worked out really well for me because I was getting rid of the auto and so didn't have left over cooling line connectors :)

    Running the Nevada BDR...

...Nevada's BDR is known to be a bit different than some of the others. Most interesting is the temperature differential between the northern and southern ends of the route - even as the north is still covered in snow, temps in the south reach over 100°F. For that reason, a lot of travelers split the trip into two - doing the southern route in winter or early spring and the northern bit come summer.

But not us; we're not that smart. Well no, that's not it exactly - it's just that the time we had to do the trip happened to mean we'd be doing it all in one shot. And we'd be doing it from north-to-south, just because we thought that'd be logistically easier.

At least, that was the plan...
