We are supposed to be going to Reba and Brooks and Dunn in Vegas in Oct :(
Almost certainly it's going to be cancelled. I'm really bummed.

That's a huge frustration of mine. The polarizing of our nation over anything.
Masks are not a partisan issue. It's a mask. It's PPE.
Why do we need to turn it into this great divide and a means to further alienate one another?

Everything has to be made political. I'm really over it. I think that's what I get most frustrated about and @taco_chaser said it, the people who are making ultimate decisions have some other hidden agenda they are working towards and are masquerading behind COVID. The decisions (right or wrong) are being made for the wrong reasons. It's pretty disingenuous and you lose a lot of respect for the individuals who are supposed to be advocating for the people. I feel like once you reach a certain point in the political food chain stewardship doesn't exist anymore.

I'm not telling you to wear a mask because it's better for everyone, I'm telling you to wear a mask because it's what will get me re-elected.

We're all just pawns in a game.

Curious if the Canadians have similar frustrations.

I'm back dudes! Missed ya too haha. I usually don't fire up the ol chat board here over the weekend. Went paddling the Catawba river below Lake James with my lady, buddy and his lady. Saw my mom and pops. Its crazy, i consider myself to have an ok back for strength. Wide-ish physique but 6 hours on the water and my lats were fried!

    Hope ya'lls is well.

    Gonna be totally honest.

This is like one of those puzzles where you have to figure out whats different.

You look ever so slightly leaner now.
You have nothing to feel bad about.

Am I the only person that gets paralysis of the analysis on what fucking program to run?

I think I’m scraping the marathon program and I’m going to do 5/3/1 and run 50 miles a week. I want my quads back!

Nope...not really. I mean a bit of it is leaking across our border, but y'all are in a pretty unique situation, unlike any I am familiar with across the globe. Certainly there is some fear, uncertainty, and the evolving directives are being misread by some as "nothing is true because you keep changing your mind" but those are just people unfamiliar with how science actually works...i.e., information evolves and decisions are made on the best available info. We've not seen the same reaction to the suggestion of wearing PPE or social distancing.

Though we are close and very similar, there are striking differences culturally between our two nations...each with their own benefits and drawbacks.

Americans are very selfish, to put it bluntly.
We very much latch on to our individual liberties and see it as unreasonable to be expected to do something the solely helps someone else.

The rest of the world has a more of a civic duty mindset when it comes to public health.

The US also has this lovely theme of division going on. No one wants to work together on anything.

Is Canada doing any cellphone/ap based contact tracing?
