You can blame everyone and their mother for that. Lots of sliders on daily's that don't need them pushed demand up and prices.

I think they made a good product back in the day, looks like sliders for Cruisers. I thought that was the sliders on my old 80 series but I think its solid rock off road after thinking a sec

I know that handle design on that driver there in the picthey make great quality tools

 

I put in #3 dry after cleaning it, probs why the oring broke for me lol

 

500 is cheap for sliders for Land Cruisers. People were spending 7-800 a set for the nice ones back when I hung out in that crowd. They are very high end made and extremely heavy duty, like have 6000 lb land cruiser drop off a ledge onto the slider and it not bend. Sliders for people that off road a 30-70k dollar vehicle.

Store employees don’t give a fuck about anything

 

Wal Mart employees especially...have you ever had to get something from behind one of their closed glass displays? If you press the button thats supposed to "notify" an employee to come over, it takes them at least a half hour unless you go physically grab them yourself.

One time I just stood there pressing the button over and over and over for 20 minutes until an employee finally came storming over all pissed off at me lol.

 

Wiha is the shit! Definitely more expensive than a regular person should spend on hand drivers but using em every day for work really makes a difference

 

Looks like they are bolt ons, probably why they're so expensive. Not common to see bolt on sliders for 1st gens, weird that they don't offer a cheaper weld-on option

 

I have to service them from time to time. They suck. You ask “hey can you destock this” and it takes them like 2 hours some times

 

I think it's part of their employee handbook that they have to half-ass everything intentionally. That way Walmart can justify continuing to pay them so little

 

So sad news @Das it mang. Your work inspired me to do an ohm reading from my injectors before sending them out to get rebuilt and they tested one@14, two@14.3, three@14.1 and four@278


@cruiserguy I know you said 14 is what they're supposed to be but do you know how high a resistance I can get away with before they won't work? Also do you know if I can test them in the truck? They're not grounded through the block or anything correct? So I should be able to get an accurate reading in the truck first.


My plan is to pull a good one from inside the truck and hopefully swap in the one that's 278ohms so I can keep my truck to daily drive while 4 good ones are out getting rebuilt

 

It's a chicken vs egg scenario.


Walmart pays so little cause the jobs take 'no skill'... employees put in no skill or effort because they get paid so little.. which is first and who's to blame?!

They're also uncoated which for that price seems crazy!

I would prefer them uncoated personally but yeah the price is pretty high, I've never heard of them but since some people only want sliders they can bolt on they'll probably sell them. 1st gens bolt on options are few and far between....in fact I can't think of another company that does it but I know theres one or two. Also expensive. Weld on is usually a lot cheaper, plus I think to bolt sliders onto a 1st gen you have to drill the frame? At least I think so.
