I pulled into a KOA! I’m at the Kansas border. I’ve never tent camped here, but wanted to make some time today. I pulled into my spot next to a Cement Tacoma with a RTT!

Man, I'm sure you've heard guys on job sites making fun of engineers for not knowing how stuff actually works, but there's picture proof of it.

Let's exhaust all the dry air right underneath where I'm sleeping for it to rise and negate the cooled air being pumped in. Brilliant!

I camped just below this pond. I was probably around 10,500 feet. At 9 am this morning it was 52 degrees.

It was pretty awesome! I got home yesterday and today I’m resting. I was gone 12 days. That’s enough solo. I did visit a friend and got some awesome mountain biking in.. I also brought plenty of local Colorado beers home too. We where out in September too. Seems my intervals of getting out are getting more regular.

The mountain biking was really cool too-

I told my Wife I’d like to get back out for 17 days in September 21, so in 13 months we will have a killer route. I’d like to get to Crystal Mill and Black Bear Pass in that trip!

Now it’s back to work at Pitt Monday for a year long remodel at the Cathedral on night shift. I’m glad I was able to get out!

Good deal, I’m glad you had a fun trip. I had a trip not unlike yours planned back in March but it got canceled for obvious reasons.
I was going to drive my Taco out to Utah and explore for a week. Maybe I can go in the spring of 2021 instead.

We made Utah in September. It’s really cool, we spent time in Moab, Arches and Canyonlands!

I’m working in familiarizing myself with the Gaia app

I uploaded the link Platinum Cloud sent me.

I like the app ONxOFFroad. It has trails too. And you can choose if you want 4x4, overland, side by side, dirt bike, etc. And then the same functions as Gaia, like record, and save offline maps

We are planning a trip for Labor Day all. Right now it’s me and two Jeep dudes. Planning a route in WV camping the first night in Canaan Loop.

These are my Jeep dude buddies.

    We are all very serious

Cool. Thinking we will take the overland route South at least to Snowshoe. It’ll be slow casual, I’m pretty sure my Wife is coming and daughter, but there pretty tough. I drove them all over Colorado and Utah in September.

The one Jeep dude makes pretty elaborate meals too, so we spend more time at camp than I like, but it’s a fun crew. We run our cb’s on #7 so there isn’t a dull moment.
