These storms are going to hit us more and more often as the climate changes. Extreme weather is becoming common.

Winds have been blowing hard off and on all day. Probably going to be a lot of them down especially on power lines.

Wild. The stress of storms like this while STILL being out of our home from similar storm in May of last year is not the greatest hahaha.

Found this little girl laying In The grass. She still breathing hoping she pulls threw. I don't like seeing little animals in pain.

    IMG_20200804_142506_170.jpg

Gotta see what animal rescues take in wild animals.

Edit: little guy didn't make it.

She probably got blown out of her nest with the wind Matt. My son adopted a baby squirrel that was little like that one and he fed it, cared for it and this little thing thought he was their Mother. he or she stay around the house even after he turned them loose and would come over to him to get peanuts. Finally they stopped coming around when they found a mate and started their own family:confused:. It was cute to watch him or her run around the house and sit on my sons shoulder. Good luck and I hope they make it (just as long as they stay away from @skatefreak282 's tacoma).

Unfortunately he or she didn't make it. Just went to check on it. And was pretty solid stiff. I had that feeling wasn't gonna make it but figured I'll give it a shot. It's been about 10 yrs since I rescued a squirrel. They lived and brought 2 of them to a lady that cares for wild animals. She's no longer around.

That was my guess but I didn’t want to presume.
We have nat gas in our street but not connected. I have a neighbor who’s in the process of connecting tho so very interested.
I’ve got a 9500Kw genny as a backup but it’s all manual connection. I have to kill the main then plug the genny into the house with a custom male/male 10-4 outdoor rated cable. Flip on the dedicated breaker for it an I can run for days without public service.
Learned my lesson after Hurricane Sandy.

Don't know what I'd do with a bladder that strong. Road trips are not fun with me. Scratch that, I can't even do a roadtrip anymore. I have mapped out every place to stop within a 40 mile radius from here.

Ours is a 20,000 Kw - starts up after 20 seconds with no power and throws automatically both on and off. This one is new - a year old now - and replaced an older one that died on me after 14 years. During Sandy we were on generator power for 5 days and it ran continuously except for when I took it offline once a day to check the oil. The old one wasn't whole house the new one manages the load on its own. Good system. Tuesdays are the day where it starts itself and runs for 20 minutes to charge the battery - luckily the only time it had to run yesterday. Oh, and it has a self-monitoring system that uplinks the status to the local repair company.

    And, good morning fellow Pennsyltukyvanians!!!

Yea we seem to not get alot of rain. But got destroyed by wind in our area. Good thing was it wasn't hot a shot. Pretty comfortable sleeping weather with the windows open
