I haven't been in touch with my buddy since I pretty much given up buying until 2021's show up so I haven't gotten any updates. I'll text him and see.

I would absolutely not pay sticker for it. Look up invoice, hold backs, rebates and also the options they add to them and don't want to remove them. I would wait it out and save your self some green.

Might be a dumb question, but where's the $4k figure coming from? Expected 2021 offers? I'd assume getting the year-end model would yield bigger return in negotiations than holding out for the new ones fresh off the line?

Yeah the market out in CO silly. I've seen 2017-2019s with 40k miles listed for $1000-3000 more than brand new same specs. Honestly if you don't need a truck right now just wait for 2021s

$4000 would be the standard, easy to get 10% off MSRP discount that was received throughout almost this whole thread. The good-amazing deal discount range is 10-15% off in normal times. But as Kalicat said, that would probably take a little while longer to get rather than in the beginning of October when the 2021s first come out. She might have to wait an extra couple months or so.

And if the 2021 stock is as limited as the 2020 stock is now then probably not many deals .

Hi all, I just ordered a 2020 cement OR DCSB Tech from the dealer ... won't be coming till around mid Sept - Oct. Do you think I'll have a little wiggle room with since the production will ramp back up and they'll be trying to push the 2020's off the lot for the 2021's? Or do you think I'll still be getting shafted with these mark-ups?

I'm using Cartelligent to handle the whole negotiation + everything else process, and apparently they can get the truck for significantly below invoice but idk it goes against what i'm hearing on these forums. I'm in SoCal btw.

Barcelona Red metallic, bought in Milwaukee area, WI. I also got the Mil rebate, so that helped.

If you just ordered it you will likely not be getting it as Toyota stopped taking 2020 orders

When did they stop taking 2020 orders? I ordered a 2020 OR a couple weeks ago with expected build date of 8/13/2020.

That all depends on stock. Cement TRD OR 4x4 w/ Tech is one of the best selling combinations in SoCal right now. With no stock that's why dealerships are marking them up. If 2021 begins more inventory, you would have some negotiating room

The SoCal area is a unique market. We love our cars/trucks, and there is ample financing to meet our cravings. My buddy's dealership just took 3 deposits for the 2021 TRD Pro in Lunar Rock, each at $7,500 over MSRP.
