I used to think that was a coincidence, but I keep hearing about all these treatment plants that have that scenario happen, and I'm more convinced that they're designed to actually do that in that exact situation.

Hey guys, I know this is a few pages back, but I have a Blue Sea fuse block and the bracket to mount in the engine bay, specific to second gen. I bought it from another guy here a few years back to clean up my truck. After my taco was totalled, that was one thing I pulled out, and it has been sitting in my garage doing nothing for the last 4 years.

Anybody want to buy it from me?

Man the shit we used to do would probably give OSHA a heart attack. We had been sent to Okanogan to do free range cattle fence repair and clean up any hanging trees from a big fire. Hiked in about 12 miles, had 3 huge ponderosa pines with 2 leaning on one. One had burned out 1/2 the bottom so it was pretty unpredictable. Took awhile but managed to get all 3 to fall at the same time. Shook the ground like an earthquake. I've seen some ridiculous fails at cutting trees, thought one dude broke both his legs when a tree swung around like a baseball bat and flung him 10'.

Friends of mine live in Hamilton a few miles downstream from Concrete. Their house recently burned to the ground due to an electrical fault. Possibly caused by past flooding. They have to build the replacement house on 8 foot stilts above the mythical 100 year flood.

Friend of mine had a huge cottonwood tree he wanted to remove. I stopped by one afternoon, he'd rented climbing gear with the idea that he'd climb it and limb it and take it down a section at a time. This was harder than it looked, he asked me if I wanted to try it, I passed, I knew it was hard and I knew nothing about doing it.
He hired a guy to do it, the guy left the last 50 feet because that cost extra my friend didn't want to pay.
He got his saw stuck trying to cut it down, he called the undercut the "pie". He didn't know much about felling trees.
He asked for my advice, I said I wouldn't touch that thing except with explosives. He got another bar and chain for his saw and cut more, then he pushed it over with the front bucked on his backhoe.
It fell into a brushy patch and hit a 6" tree that touched high voltage power lines on it's way to the ground and tripped a circuit breaker knocking out power to 30,000 customers. He saw the power company guys driving up and down the road looking for the problem before they reset the breaker. He helpfully called them and told them what had happened for which they billed him $1200.
I looked at the scene the next day, there was no evidence of what had happened, they'd have eventually reset the breaker. My comment was "should have taken the wife and kids out for pizza and a movie while they figured it out".

Anyone know of some secluded or off-the-trail-lakes with some nice sand or calm rivers with sand bars? 'Rona cancelled our annual ocean weekend trip unfortunately. I'm prob going to go to cle elum lake again, but that one only has a few places with some softer sand.

Glacier View campground on Lake Wenatchee looks nice, but I heard there are tons of mosquitoes.

Cle Elum lake - nice, but not very sandy

When i worked Tree service the worst thing i saw was when we were cutting windfall, all the trees layed down in a 200’ long x 50’ wide path. My buddy was one one side and i was parallel to him, he was just starting to cut into a big fir and misread the tension and when it came uncorked he got launched 15’ back, knocked the wind out of him and broke the handle off of his saw

Would the lakes behind the dunes in Mosses Lk. Be sandy enough?

Alders got the award for "most likely to fuck you up" for the Olympics. They barber chair 99% of the time. If they were small enough we'd just slash cut them chest high the cut the base off. I've taken some nasty tumbles, never broke anything besides maybe a bent bar. I don't miss dropping down to the bottom of a mountain and climbing back up at all, but I'm glad I did it when I was young and spry

does it require a tarp and a drum full of acid? If so, no.
