I shot my first Highpower matches in nothing but shorts and a t-shirt. Mastering basic form and practice needed to come before shooting coats, gloves, etc. When I got to a point where my scores stalled out and I couldnt seem to pick up any more points I knew it was time for a entry level canvas coat. Picked up 25ish points on average (out of a 300 point total possible score) just by doing that. Now Im to a point where a thicker leather coat will be a wise investment as Ive once again stalled out my average score.

I was told once that school wasn’t always what you need to be successful in life. It’s not about the grades you make but the hands you shake. That being said is how I’ve made the friends I have that I can get to do things for me cheap also and anytime I need anything I just go get it.

Get out and shoot. Only way to get good. Then get training. I'm actually taking a Ems class. Not to work in a hospital but when I do have to unfortunately shoot someone. I know what to do to keep that individual alive if they are. I carry a chest seal and cat 7.

Ive seen dudes like that that have been told to stop shooting because their rounds were getting close to going over the berm. When told to adjust down, they just crank away on the sight not knowing anything about which way or how far their adjusting. Again, most of those people have their gun tricked out to the nines...

Most of the people at my club that can shoot extremely well will show up to our 500 yard matches and use an old milsurp with the only accessory being a sling. And they usually place extremely high up, if not winning it and pissing off all the tacticool bros on their way out.

You sound like it's inevitable you're going to shoot someone someday lol

I'm looking into taking a CPR class again here soon, probably should have before my daughter was born. But she's at the age where literally everything she can grab goes into her mouth and if she chokes or gets hurt and the worst happens because I couldn't properly do something about it I wouldn't be able to live with that.

I took CPR when I was a kid to get a lifeguard gig at the local theme park but that was a lifetime ago.

It's okay, you're definitely already on a list... What're they gonna do, put you on it twice?

They offer one online, I don’t think the in person class I took was any more helpful.
