You probably have plenty of time based on history, another decade atleast.

Nissan used to make great stuff.
Toyota, Nissan, Honda, was like the holy trinity. You couldn't go wrong.

Now Nissan is the Japanese equivalent to GM.

The 7 spd Bronco is definitely cool. I am very surprised they are offering MT, good for them. Curious to see how reliable they will be. Cant wait to see it in person, and drive it. Not planning to sell my taco though, Im keeping her till the wheels fall off pretty much.

Yes, the older nissans were amazing, nothing but good things to say about them. Not anymore though...

Not a bad plan, new trucks are expensive. Speaking of which I doubt I'll be able to justify the cool version of the Bronco. Just like I can't justify a TRD Pro, ZR2 or Rubicion.

Yes they are! This is my first brand new vehicle and my second biggest purchase of my life. So yes, it cost me a small fortune. I cant wait to pay it off, felt nice having no debt on my ranger. Pro would have been my dream truck but fuck no, 60k for a truck? GTFO.

    Nice truck!

I always notice how low they are to the ground stock, even the 4x4s. The frame kind of hangs low too, makes for more legroom though. I think thats why its not a super popular off roading rig.

Yeah I’d never buy a Nissan. Not that they can’t be good vehicles, just not a fan, otherwise I’d be on the Frontier forum page

The biggest issue is the design of the bed side and rear bumper. Any gravel road driving completely sand blasts the bed infront of the rear wheels and the leading edge of the rear bumper. Takes no time at all, then turns to rust

Mine could use a repaint in those areas by now. It's only chipped to the primer, I'm going to take a day and touch it all up then apply some 3M film.

Yeah, i have quite a lot of rock chips on the bed in front of wheel wells and some on the rear doors. Most of them are at the bottom of the front side of the fender flare. It gets peopered pretty good there, especially where toyotas' stock plastic film is put on. All from driving on FSRs.

My ranger had 1 rock chip in 7 years, it was designed better in that aspect.

Not to worry though, nothing touch up paint cant fix.

I had a pro 4x for a rental during my frame replacement for about a month. I work in the woods and it got blasted pretty bad in that short time. Other than that I loved the truck. Handled everything better than my Tacoma imo. But it was basically brand new

I'm with you there, my new Tacoma is also my first new vehicle. I always got used whatever I ended up with. Newer each time. After 11 years with the Jeep Liberty CRD I got when it was 3 years and being debt free other than my mortgage I was able to save up a big down payment. I'm still amazed it's mine a week later. I can't imaging 60K for a truck but I know some go for over 100K, Fords even.

I really wanted one of those Nissan Frontiers in the late 90's. I think that they looked cool then. A guy in my neighborhood still has one and it looks nice.

Renault did that to them..... French reliability built right in. Oh and the CVTs in most of their products will crap out at no extra charge.

I think that's what I like about all the trucks from the 2005-2015ish era. They were almost as simple as my taco, with less the electronic nonsense that comes on new vehicles. I keep thinking about getting rid of my Frontier because its 2WD and I don't really need the backseat - but its just been so easy to deal with and moving to something newer seems like asking for trouble these days.

1989 Nissan frontier and 1989 Toyota. Very Similar. Both very cool.
