Yeah, getting wet like that blows.

I got caught in a nasty one at the upper trail head of the Dusy Ershim in June. I could see for about 20 miles from my campsite and there was lightning everywhere! It was pretty cool.
I just shut the lid of the camper and hung out in my truck for a few hours until it blew over.

I'll probably join you on the 22nd though.

I should take this weekend to fix my fridge slide and maybe do the valve cover gaskets that I bought a kit for 3 years ago.

Well, I just figured out I need a new engine mount.
Hopefully I can get it done by the 22nd.
The new mounts will be here week. I’m going backpacking the weekend of the 15 & 16th.
So, I’ll have to get it done after work during the week.
    https://www.instagram.com/p/CDfGbYnHUpn/?igshid=17e1kv2t79q9g

The bracket that’s welded to the frame where the engine isolator mounts to is broken.
The piece below came off with the 14mm bolt and nut. It looks like the other bolt and nut hole is the same. The passenger side looks fine.
Anyone else have to fix this same thing? I’ve done zero looking into how to replace that part of the mount. I assume it would need to have another piece welded or a plate welded over the broken holes?
Getting to that spot looks like a huge pain in the ass.

I am now following you! ...and a ratchet strap works as a temp motor mount. My brother wheeled most of the rubicon that way.

Yeah, driver side only. I'm going to replace both sides with OEM. I haven't even looked at the tranny mount yet. If it needs replacing I'll do that in a few weeks.
I have to do the valve cover gaskets in the mean time. Although, there's no rush on those. I think I bought the kit in 2017...could be 2018. I've been waiting to do the valve covers for when my supercharger comes back from rebuild but it's taking forever.

I ordered them online from ToyotaPartsOnline.com.
I did about 10 minutes of looking around but paid $135.84 for the parts themselves and then $165.49 for the parts + shipping + sales tax.

I want to go kayaking somewhere new. Has anyone been to Salt Springs Reservoir south of Bear River Reservoir off of 88? It looks to be an easy road to the base of the dam (as long as it isn't gated) then there's a double track (probably steep, but doable) that heads up to the lake. If it isn't gated, I think it would be a great new place. The MVUM shows it as open. Does anyone have any info?
