You can do some trimming to make them work.

I torque my STOCK cam bolts down @ 155ft/lbs. They wander otherwise. I can see why you wouldn't require as much clamping force with the poly performance tabs

Thats my suggestion. These never rotated out of place. Instructions say the front is 250ftlb. The rear is 110ftlb.

THAT BEING SAID...here are my front washers at the correct 250ftlb

I'm going to go buy better washers and whatnot and make this mo betta.

just checked the torque guide and both lower control arm bolts are 100ft/lbs.
EDIT: just read through polys instructions and they have some conflicting torque specs which match what you are saying. Not sure now.....

Just got my poly performance tabs and just reading through. Looking forward to installing them.

Anyone running them with jba uppers? Have spc ones currently but like how the JBA has more readily available ball joints.

Better washers and less torque is my plan

Awesome to know! No issue with getting the alignment decent enough?

I did an at home alignment. I used this thread for reference,

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-to-do-an-alignment-at-home.252256/

Using this method I got camber within a degree of being perfect and caster at 4°(if im measuring with his method correctly) this kit won't be as precise but my truck drives straight as an arrow. Adjusting toe was a pain, but that is theoretically all that will periodically go out of wack.

I love my jba's they do great for me

As long as I get good tire wear and it’s not too ridiculous I’m cool with it.

Have the spc uppers and I am thinking of switching to JBA as they lock the top ball joint (not as much adjustability as the SPC). But with the lower tabs being locked as well, I wanted to make sure I could get it close for the road. From what you are saying I should be good.

Interesting solution to not needing camber/caster adjustments. Could be a good reference for others if people post up which tab they used and what alignment numbers they got, assuming it was checked at a shop afterwards (and given their particular suspension setup).

Just spoke with a couple folks at Poly Performance. They said they had never heard of this kind of damage and that the torque specs were based off of OEM...SO, I referenced the torque spec guide and how its actually listed at 100ftlb front and rear, not 250 front, 110 rear. I sent pictures and I guess they are going to talk to the engineers. More to follow.

I know these are for second gen tacos. But I can’t imagine them not working on 3rd gens?

I saw another thread where you have to modify them for the 3rd gen. Not sure why. Its on TW somewhere

I don't see why not? Even the part itself doesn't seem difficult to make if we had the dimensions.

I just spoke with James at Poly Performance again. The engineer(s) is out for the next couple days. I replaced all of the washers and 9/16 bolt. Torqued 150ftlb up front and 110 in the rear. Had to debur the tabs to make the bolts go through after the taco tabs had bent. If anyone here went to 250ftlb, I recommend you take them apart and check your washers.

I went to the OEM torque spec of 100 and no issues. The have nylock nuts on them after all, so you don't need to worry about it being too loose and backing off. Overall I'm very happy with this kit, even if it takes a little trial and error and patience.

I'm in the middle of install. The driver side I torqued to 250. I just double checked, washers look fine but the bushing (whiteline) looks compressed. Definitely gonna back it off about 100 lbs.
