    Random story....
Many a year ago my dad and I were getting drunk fishing at a small lake not far from here. At the time he had a 10' jon boat that we would just throw in the back of the truck and go. So this particular day, after many a cold drink, his dumb ass decided that instead of lifting the boat into the truck bed...he would back farther (further:notsure:) into the water thus allowing myself to drive the boat into the aforementioned truck bed via trolling motor. That didn't work too well.
It seems as though boat ramps have an ending point; that spot under the water where they stopped pouring concrete. Well, his truck drops below that particular spot...I remember watching water pour into his sliding back glass all the while I'm laughing my ass off. As his cab is quickly filling with water I remember that he can't swim. As I troll towards the truck I seem him manage to get the door open, then I watch him hold his nose, go underwater and manually lock his hubs. Somehow that truck pulled right out of there. The inside of the cab was a mess though.

:facepalm:There are people who will buy that.

Any construction site for new housing will have a dumpster...
...which will have empty 5 gallon joint compound buckets in it.
Grab a bucket and two lids if you plan on keeping it.
One lid you cut an appropriate sized hole in...
...if you want to be able to sit on it while taking care of business.

Seal with the second lid. :)

    Voila.

Technically, farther denotes a physical distance while further denotes a metaphorical distance.

    Here's a boring one....
When I 'quit' drinking I really didn't stop for another 6 months. My buddy had a cabin at a lake and me, him and his wife would go spend a night or two there once in awhile. I used it as a 'hideaway' drunk excuse. We had another buddy that had a place nearby so we would get together and knock back a few.
On one particularly glorious night (did I mention his cabin had an upstairs? We'll get back to that in a minute) after a few thousand beers each, it was nearing time to clock out for the evening. His place had a kitchen/living room area downstairs...two bedrooms upstairs. After passing out in my designated upstairs bed, I was soon to be awaken by a sudden desire to piss. (Mind you, I don't recall any of this but I had the bruises and his wife telling me what happened as proof)
The upstairs floor basically had a hole cut in it with some half-ass stairs going to the bottom area. Well, my drunk and stupid ass just walked off into the hole, fell to the downstairs floor, while (in mid flight) crashing through the glass coffee table below. She said I never woke up. All I remember is going for breakfast and eating extra runny eggs while they laughed at me.

    Yikes! Scary..

I watched someone sink their truck loading their boat on the trailer, I dunno what he did but he got out to help load it or something and it just rolled right back and almost sank all the way, but it was enough that it sucked water up in the motor and had to be towed out....I had just learned that year how to back the boat in the water, back up a trailer and yada yada yada.. but after that day it mentally stressed me out for awhile. Took me about a month to get over it. Something I always worried that it would happen to me.
