Front traction was nothing to write home about either. My 930 would get light in the front to the point of almost losing any meaningful tire/road contact and then the butt end would do some steering whether you wanted it to or not. Worst was if there was a bit of sand, and in New England, there is always sand ;-)

Ordered mine from a dealer in Connecticut. Grand Prix white w/burgundy leather. Still have the purchase order ($61K) and the factory brochure.

OP profile says ‘18 sport. Not sure about mileage. Probably close to even trade but OP might be hit with maintenance quick.

335, it was the worst car I ever bought. I bought it used and just never had luck with it. Cost lots of money for nothing

I will say at first when it ran, it ran really well but it didn’t last.

My Cayman is the same. I had to work out a few bugs but now I trust it to take me anywhere

I’ve owned a Corvette and a couple mustangs in the past but the Porsche honestly feels like an extension of yourself. You’re not driving the car nor is the car driving you it’s just melded together effortlessly

As a daily, I would pass personally. Absolutely LOVED my M3, but I was putting 25k miles on it a year and my maintenance averaged around $400 a month.

@Oreo Cat probably has one of the most reliable M3’s made, but cars like this cost $$$. I will say this though, a good driver’s car is ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE money if you have it. Just know, the days of $45 oil changes will be gone. It was $90 am oil change if I did it myself and that’s just the beginning. I do miss that car, though

Mine probably cost close to $100 to change oil but I only have to do it about every 3 years. Maintenance isn’t bad, it’s only if you need work. I had my upper coolant seal fail and was quoted over $1k to fix. I did it myself for less than $30 and a half day under my car.

No, keep your truck or sell it. Do not trade. I promise within a month of driving the Porsche it will need at least $1k of something. I know it’s tempting and I would probably do it but knowing what I know now I wouldn’t rely on that car as a daily

If you haven’t seen the Carvana thread, they are giving mad money for Tacoma’s in some regions.

Seriously, the more I think about it, the more I’m leaning towards the Tacoma. The truck still have full coverage bumper to bumper including an extended warranty on electrical and lifetime powertrain thru the dealership. The Porsche is 19 years old with absolutely nothing else to sweeten the deal.

RUN, don't walk away from this deal.
You would be trading a very dependable 2 year old Tacoma with substantial BTB warranty remaining for a 19 year old vehicle with 105,000 miles that you are practically insured to have issue with.
I wouldn't be surprised if the 911 doesn't already have issues, thus their inclination to trade you.

If you have the sportscar bug, fine a low mileage 2014 C7 Corvette that someone has pampered as a garage queen, they're out there. These cars are very reliable (arguably most dependable of the C7 model) and are considered to be among the finest sportscars however at a fraction of the price of other world class sportscars they compete with.
