I put a small led tactical flashlight in the glove box. I regretted it right away. Even with the shelves I rolled around on every turn. In the center console it went standing up no more noise.

Oh man - me too! Should we start a kitchen granite thread? We can share kitchen decorating ideas and compare recipes. Now that I think about it...maybe I've been working from home too long.

For as much as I liked the mount I made using the MaxTrax mounts I salvaged off my FJ I gotta say I like this a lot more. Looks cleaner, takes up less room, easier to get them in and out and no interference with the Port-A-Rod. Thanks much to @supralee

I've seen this a lot. Inquiring minds want to know the reason people block their license plate in any picture/post; yet when they park anywhere their plate is open to the world to see.

Kinda like people that use code on CL ad's for phone number.

    Maybe I am old school...

They have all the possible questions for the test, so just go through them all ad nauseam, only looking at the correct answer, and not even reading the distracter answers. Bookmark it from your phone too, so you can do it whenever you have downtime. Eventually, it will stick. I studied this way for both my Tech and General at the same time, took both tests in the same session and got 100% on both of them. It's about memorization. Don't worry if you don't understand a lot of the material, just get the license, and all that stuff will fall into place when you get your radio and start messing around with stuff, and talking to other stations.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Generally speaking, you don't want to make more personal info available than necessary. Anything you post on the web is available world-wide, and who knows who's doing what with it. Law enforcement was using facial recognition to sift through images on social media to find criminal suspects. No reason they couldn't do the same with plates. You wouldn't want to have a plate number vaguely similar to someone they're interested in.

I think there are extremes. On one site I frequent, people would obscure the cut of their keys fearing someone would duplicate them (possible, but not even remotely probable). In that case, the offender has to know what the key's for, where the lock is, and physically be there, so I thought that was a bit much.

If one is really worried about personal privacy, ditch your smart phone. That photo you took of your truck using your phone... The original is probably still on your phone somewhere and any number of apps have access to it, along with everything else about you that has ever passed through your phone.
