Laugh, but read other threads on flooded vehicles, and see what problems they have.

    Things like:

will not slip in/out of 4WD with warning lights due to actuator damage or transfer case water intrusion
stalling due to fuel pump electonics failure
contaminated gas due to water intrusion
brake malfunctions and ABS warning lights
whining differentials due to water intrusion
transmission problems due to water intrusion
accelerated frame rust and fastener corrosion
no taillights and other malfunctions due to wire harness water damage
    bearing damage from water intrusion
    and so on ...

The OP will take it to the dealership, and the vehicle will be reported as flooded and warranty repairs will be in question.

Or, the OP waits until problems occur, takes it to dealership, and flooding remnants will be determined and warranty questioned.

    Quite a gamble on a $40K purchase.

    As I say, laugh!

Yeah, but isn’t a case of a ‘flooded vehicle’ for the OP.

Where does he say it was cold? He said his wife informed him the water was rising quick? Maybe he just came home from work. The water is nearly to the top of the rims, so over the difference. The guy asked for possible issues.

With the lake now so low now i couldn't even load my boat on the trailer to put it in the garage. This rain helped a little, but still the boulders are showing above the water around where my boat is docked that normally are under water a few feet. At any rate the boat survived the storm no worse for wear...just needs some cleaning up.

Is that as deep as the water got? If so, just dry your wheels off with a micro fiber towel and worry about more pressing issues like what kind of lift you are getting.

Reading comprehension..."While down the basement pumping out water my wife tells me that the water is getting up the sides of the truck. Ran out and moved it to higher ground."
Plus, the water is not even to the breather.

If it was me, I would just drive the truck and call it an deep water off road adventure. However if the OP needs some sort of piece of mind, and since any problems would not be covered by warranty, he should take the truck to a indy mechanic for an inspection, rather than a Toyota dealer.
