No more movies for at least a year.

I might have been brainwashed by corporate American greed but I prefer my private retirement plan. I control it, the funds, what I put in, it’s not dependent on anything but my own greed and stupidity. Not others.

I won’t sell at the end of the day today though. I’ll ignore my own inclinations and lose out on gains like usual

 

I’m going to bank my own advice actually. Today before close I’m selling nrgu. If it goes down tomorrow I’ll buy back in. If it goes up, I’m done.

I sold it 3.39 actually. Looked like it was about to dive today. I’m banking on tomorrow being a red day. I have Monday off so I have to remember to check it Monday I might buy back end of day tomorrow or a happy gap down. If it goes up. I’m done. No more nrgu.

Anyone else holding on to $NRGU for months and possibly into Next year? I have 1100 shares bought at 4.63 So I'm not out TOOO bad it was with free "Stimulus" money so really no loss for me staying in. I just wish I had some guarantee it'll reach at MIN 15+ dollars a share.

what do you mean? Specifically?
It's yahoo. They are free. You go to an asset and then add compare....then you put in a date range and it shows the performance over that time.
For these charts here
I chose a time period when the big 10 oil sector was fairly stable but gently climbing with ups and downs. I looked for a comparable change. Since the stock was trading at $30+ and now it's at $3+ it was a good factor of 10 comparison just to see how it moves over 3 or 4 months under what seemed to me to be average market conditions...

My take on it was it takes a long time for the shares to go up 33%-50% under a flat, gentle market. If you can get in and out you're more likely to recover sooner, but you are also going to miss every big pre-market jump (and you also won't get caught with the dips..) I think the best you can hop for in selling and rebuying is clear indicators that it's a "Recovering day" so you can buy the return from the dip, make $0.20 and get back out...It's a lot of work and diligence.
