Lighting took out a tree at the other end of my street. It fell on the transformer starting a fire. Fire department and power company showed up to put it out, and hasn't been seen since.

Went and bought a generator this am. There was a long line waiting for Harbour freight to open I got the 2nd to last generator they had(I even had a coupon for it!!).

Power company says it could be a few days.

Last night it was real frustrating. My entire neighborhood has power, but my street. Seeing street lights lit up less then 200yds away and I got nothing.

A bunch of friends and family in the area (hopewell, Lagrangeville, and katonah) have huge trees down around their houses and no power yet, me and the girlfriend are out of town for the week on vacation but I feel for everyone right now. Glad you could at least grab a generator, stay safe!

I had a 30 yr old 2000watt Coleman from my dad. We never lose power so little use. Last time I tried to use it would not start(non-e gas was in it) and ended up breaking the recoil. Ended up throwing it away with plans to replace but never got around to it.

Same thing happened to my FIL, bought the generator years ago and hasn't needed it since until yesterday and popped the cord on the recoil

I hear ya...my neighbor had power and I didn't. It was like he was taunting me, the jerk.

A heavily modded Jeep is a great trail rig if you know how to weld in the field.

At first I thought this sounded extreme..... Then I remembered when I ripped a rear upper control arm mount off the frame on my TJ once. Hahaha

Plus I have one of these I’d love to get to one of the off road parks and play around with. The 60 acres in the backyard is starting to get a little boring
