DC training changed my life. Lol. With my stupid bands I've modified it so that the rest and the stretch are together (i.e., resting stretched under tension) and it's made crappy bands actually ok.

I have athletic ADD. I have a hard time picking on thing and going with it over long periods of time. I get bored and need a change up or I just want to have 5 different goals in 5 different directions at all time.

Pros and cons to that. I think next year prepping for my ultra I really do need to bite the bullet and get a coach. I need someone to help me stay focused but at the same time also helping me keep things changing in the program in a beneficial manner.

When Covid quarantine hit, I scrambled to put together a home gym in the garage. But now that gyms are open again, I have to say I prefer working out at home.

    Homemade gym (in progress):

It’s pretty cool. I think it’s making a comeback thanks to NSP and Larry Wheels.

No brainer for me even when I started, my schedule doesn't really have the flexibility to get to the gym at an early hour.

Just post a video during your best strict curl on your Instagram story and tag Nick's Strength and Power and he'll show it in one of his videos. It's a fun lift that I hadn't done before.

How heavy. It's a competition lift made famous by long standing record holder CT /Fletcher, but it fell out of vogue until recently when Nick's S&P did a video on the history of the strict curl then Larry Wheels posted a video on it and it really picked up steam. Due it's sudden increase in popularity it looks like the current record could be broken in the near future. I think the current record holder is Dennis Cyplenkov (sp?).

just super light weight. I just do it at home with a 70lb sandbag. The minimal movement is not bad at all. Full squat with the sandbag on my shoulders is wayyyy more of an issue. I just simply don’t have the strength

Same. I did some today at 65lbs.
When the bar rubs against my knee I can feel the soft tissue of my knee pull on my internal sutures. Its a very odd sensation and hard to get over.

Wondering if you can feel anything like that?

I hope it does. It doesn’t feel right when you feel skin tugging to something tethered inside your knee. Its not painful but just... gross feeling.
